Nice find and fix! I wasn't aware you could run a kerosene heater on Diesel fuel. good to know. I had one of those, but the tank rusted out and thought about fixing it but never got around to it and it sat for years. They are expensive, I think I paid $300 for mine back in the early 90's.

Just got off the phone with Dyna-glo i told them my part number(s) “that’s old we don’t make those motors anymore” replaced hoses was working fine my fan ain’t turning now everything else seems fine fuel/spark/vacuum/ I seen ur trick to turn the fan I’ll try that! Great vid thanks for the upload! Damn what’s with those expensive capacitors lately

There is usually a bushing on each end of the motor. I would try putting some lightweight oil on it or even spraying a little bit of penetrating oil on each end of the shaft and seeing if you can manually spin the motor over with the fan.

@@SkylarHillShop oh man thought got lucky with wd40 trick and let it sit (I only have a front fan shaft) sprayed it couple more times let it sit over night and was working fine until back rotor graphite broke ugh) I took it out and it’s mostly all ruined. Is there any ordering it? I can get some measurements from it dunno how close that has to be for my heater

They have a rotor on Amazon for 14 dollars it’s like mine a 1/2” thick. Cant a find the diameter mines like 2 3/8” is that the same you think? Again thank you very much for the info/help/reply’s!

@@darinzadina6671 honestly I'm not sure. Desa made most of these things. They are almost universal from one to the next. Just small differences.
