Torquay United: A New Home? - Nightingale Park, Barton

An unnamed American development company has offered Torquay United a brand new stadium, in exchange for land to build new homes in the Torbay area. If the scheme goes ahead, it will see a 6,000 seat stadium built on Nightingale Park within the next few years?

What this video shows is a nondescript bit of "green space "in winter.. I walked around it in July and it looks completely different : lush with tall grasses and vegetation like tansies, teasel, knapweed, umbellifers etc. and teeming with insects. An insect paradise in fact. Places like this are incredibly precious when there is an "insectageddon" taking place everywhere. Torquay is becoming a sterile, concrete urban jungle, part of the most denatured country in Europe, but hey, who cares, it's football and an American development company's big bucks.

what ever happend to them going up to the ring rd ? i think it would be better up there easy to get to as well
