The SKIL is trolling us right now with the KIT being $69 amzn.to/44pSrYy which is less than a 2Ah Ridgid battery from Home Depot. If you have tasks that require speed, their new RA Impact wrench should be the hottest kid in town though mixed with the most torque. Nice bit of kit. As always the creator of this channel is working in product development for Astro Tools, who also make right angle impacts (air). Always consider multiple sources when looking at a tool!

I think a big consideration should be ergonomics. I've got the Milwaukee M12, and having the battery in the handle not only gives it good balance, but allows you to get in some pretty tight spaces. While I haven't used the other ones tested, battery placement definitely seems like it should be a consideration given what this type of tool is designed for.
@annihilator4000 Жыл бұрын
This is actually exactly why I have a mix of M12 and Dewalt 12v. For certain tools like a rachet I prefer the battery in the handle and won't use the bigger batteries because they mess up the ergonomics. But on some of the other tools such as a standard drill or impact I prefer the standard dewalt 12v ergonomics.

I had the Craftsman Nextec 12v tools and loved their right angle impact. It was great for removing bodywork from cars, which you have to do to change headlamp bulbs and even some filters. I didn't know much about power tools back then. It was just what they had at Sears. I took it for granted. Years and years later, I looked for right angle impact and came up almost empty. Skil 12v offered it, was a bit wary, but I'm glad I bought into their system. Great little 12v lineup.

Yeah, I mentioned the Skil being $69 a few days ago on the channel. As for the Kobalt impact wrench. It was $99 as a kit some weeks ago and I... "like" it? They put the money into performance for sure but I hate missing the modes. On/Off tools require some finesse at times. But for impact wrenches, where you'll mainly be removing, it's not a big deal considering it doesn't produce a wild amount of beans.

@MrMega200 Жыл бұрын
Well that wouldn't be an exact score as it's all different person to person. How good do you rate a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 year, etc warranty without a bias? It's too subjective. A warranty length doesn't mean anything about a tool's durability. They can make the quality of the tool however they like. On the other side of it, just because they say 10 years doesn't mean they will act on it.

Project Farm did this a while ago for the 1/4 hex impact adaptors. Basically, none of them but the metal Milwaukee held up to anything rough, but if you're using them for the occasional 4 inch fastener or smaller, or drilling with a smaller bit, they work great and youll be well served by either model from Milwaukee and either model from Dewalt. I would be curious to see how much torque transfer actually happens via testing here on TTC though. This channel gives us a whole different perspective than PF.

@MrMega200 Жыл бұрын
The SeeSii impact wouldn't damage the Makita battery as the battery cuts itself off from power draw when it runs too close to zero. I don't see why not having the odd SeeSii tool around as it runs on the exact same voltage despite lying about 21v on their own batteries. Their batteries being the same physical size as Makita ones tells you that they didn't add the extra cells to change the voltage to 21v from 18v. All they are labeling on the batteries is the "peak" voltage when fully charged, not the nominal voltage. As soon as you press the trigger it's going to drop 1-2 volts and you're not getting that 21v to your tool doing the work. The nominal voltage that real tool manufactures like Bosch publish is when the battery is being used, not being stored away after being charged. Give any 18v tool battery a read with a multi-meter after a full charge and you will see it above 18v. It will be as high as 20.8v because that is the maximum charge across all of the lithium cells.

Lowe's is pretty much giving that Kobalt 3/8 impact away right now for $99 in a kit with a stacking waterproof hard case, 4.0 and 2.0 battery and charger. Makes the impact like $20.

Please place 3 stripes on the sockets to identify movement, one stripe goes out of view . Red , White , and Blue stripes . These other stripes will show the speed at the end of the full torque cycle .

I call shenanigans! You left out the Ingersoll rand W 5330 or W 5350. Those two are there 3/8 inch drive and 1/2 inch drive right angle impacts, respectively.

As a control for the right angle impact drivers, could you run the Dewalt right angle impact adapter with a regular impact driver?

I think the tools should be tested at different amp batteries and rage.. this will give you a better view on the tool and the actual performance base in Amp and Voltage..

That's impressive performance from Rigid.

I know you're saying the Ridgid Right Angle Impact Wrench ranks Higher than the Kobalt , But the Kobalt did Smash the Ridgid in Forward , and the Ridgid just Barely beat it in Reverse , all while being like $40 Cheaper than the Ridgid 🤔 , Soo in my book Its Kobalt All Day , Just Sayin...... 👍🖖

I am tempted to move from Dewalt 12v to m12, but cant because have invested in 12v line with tons of batteries. Dewalt better come out with the 12v Right Angle Impact Wrench, 12v screw driver or 12v Impact Driver by 2024, else i am switching over.

Maybe try a right angle adapter on a normal impact driver for comparison
