I really appreciated the way you were straight to the point from start to finish without wasting time on unnecessary nonsense. Your love for this adventure really showed. And it was a nice touch the way you were very encouraging and urging us to go and do it. Going in January. The information you shared provided great preparation. Thank you!

I do appreciate all the useful info. Very clear and concise. They say you can live a lifetime in a week 😊 One question ❓ There's also the option of staying in PN and doing day-trips right? Meaning leave PN by bus in the morning and come back to PN by bus in the evening. Do that 3 times (3 days) to cover the main sights. Possible? Doable? Thanks again
@HikewithJeet4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. While you can do day trips from PN it would make it for a very long and tiring day. The bus trip to the park from PN isn't very memorable either. Look for camping or glamping options inside or just outside the park to maximize your time inside the park. It won't be cheap but you won't regret it.

Hi, thanks 4 the info! Headed for the o next month … question, didn’t really understand about the kitchen arrangements (planning to bring most of my food) can I cook there? Or do I need to bring my cooking stuff?
@HikewithJeet Жыл бұрын
You will need to bring your food and cooking utensils, stove and fuel. The kitchen is essentially a sheltered area to cook and eat your food. At every campground there will be a store where you can buy food (noodles, pasta, bread, cheese, candies, etc.)
@damakate2 жыл бұрын
Awesome. What do you suggest for people who can’t hike. Is there a itinerary that does not have too much hiking but does touch all these awesome places?
@HikewithJeet2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You can do a catamaran ride from Paine Grande to get up close views of the grey glacier which i heard is amazing. You can also do horse back rides and do the same trails that you would otherwise hike. There are also smaller hikes you can do from Paine Grande and Central Sector

May I ask you, if I like to bring my own tent and sleeping stuffs, how can I book the campsites? Because I couldn't find any agency that allow me to bring my own tent as they will provide in the package of 8 days which included of the tent. It cost around 2700 USD for 8 D 7 N I found it's very pricy just for the tent only and they said it's exclude Sleeping pad and sleeping bag. Question is... Can I just walk in at the start point with my own tent and stuffs and pay the campsites for putting my tent?
@HikewithJeet Жыл бұрын
If you are planning to bring your own tent then you will need to book the campsites via Fantastico Sur and Vertice Patagonia. The campsites will need to be reserved before you start the trek. You cannot enter the park without reserving the campsites. This is the cheapest option. Each campsite is 20-25$.
@drooner Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your guide - I'm afraid that since then the prices went even higher. A ready tent costs now around $100 a night!... We looked for a tent for two, and it cost at least $126 per night, for a tent for two with a mattress and even without a sleeping bag. That's crazy. We decided not to do it, because it's just crazily overpriced. They wanted for the first 2 nights something like $778 for two people.
@HikewithJeet Жыл бұрын
Yikes! That sounds just crazy. If you are really interested in hiking in Patagonia I would consider doing some day hikes in Torres Del Paine and in Argentina across the border. Day hiking will still be quite rewarding minus the extra costs of doing the multi day trek
@drooner Жыл бұрын
@@HikewithJeet we are now in El Chaltén and we have done some amazing day trips. It's really crazy what they're doing in Torres del Paine. Just abusing their monopoly for outrageous prices, that are just not worth it. Maybe another time when it's more normal.

Hi Jeet. I have 5 nights in Chilean patagonia, so far i have only booked the first one in puerto natales. I think i will go to the park either for day trips, or to stay somewhere for 2 nights in the park, then hike out from there to the towers etc - what do you think of this plan? What were unmissable parts of your trek? Also have you been to nepal? Iv got some videos on my trek there you might like, iv subscribed to your channel 👍 , feel fred to look at mine
@HikewithJeet Жыл бұрын
Hey Michael - thanks for stopping by. In my opinion the best way to see Torres Del Paine is by doing a multi day hike. If you are short of time then consider doing the W trek and it can be done in 4-5 days staying at the campsites and refugios along the way. If you plan to only do day hikes then you should still stay inside the park. Stay at the campsite in central to do the base of the towers hike (22 km round trip). Then make your way to Paine Grande campsite and hike to the Grey Glacier view point and also take the catamaran that takes you close to the foot of the glacier. There are also a couple of other day hikes if you base yourself in the Central area (next to the Las Torres hotel). I will check out your channel. I would love to hike in Nepal someday.
@mic.kelly86 Жыл бұрын
@@HikewithJeet thanks jeet that's amazing advice. I'll get searching- so I could use the central point as a base for a night or two possibly? I'll make sure I get the grey glacier too, thanks a lot
@HikewithJeet Жыл бұрын
Central and Paine Grande are good launch points for doing day hikes. I came across some people who were staying at Central and Paine Grande and doing day hikes. I don't remember all the possible day hikes but I am sure you can find information online. These campsites are very popular so you need to get going unless you plan to visit after February
@mic.kelly86 Жыл бұрын
@@HikewithJeet I'll visit in mid march, but will get looking to book ASAP. Can you get the bus to both of those spots? Or only to central? (Just thinking how I go back). Again thanks so much, I have actually been struggling to get places that make some details easy to digest
@HikewithJeet Жыл бұрын
@@mic.kelly86 things can get confusing. But this is what you can do. Take the bus from Puerto Natales and get off at Laguna Amarga stop (first stop in the park. Most hikers get off here). Then take another short shuttle that will drop you off at Central. You can also walk. But don't. It is a boring walk along the road. To get to Paine Grande from Central go back on the same shuttle back to Laguna Amarga. Then catch the bus that brought you to Laguna Amarga from Puerto Natales but going in the opposite direction (meaning going further into the park) and get off at Pudeto from where you will catch the catamaran across lake Pehoe to Paine Grande. To return back to Puerto Natales retrace your steps back to Pudeto and catch the bus going back to Puerto Natales. It will be clear once you take a look at the map.
