Hi, this video is awesome! Thank you for creating and sharing. Do you have a list of all the gear you took for this trip?
@theworldhiker15 ай бұрын
Hey thanks! I don't have a list of all the gear. Base layers, fleece, rain gear of course for the wet conditions are a must.

Excellent video. Very informative. Thanks for posting! Planning to do the O in January. What camp had that delicious meal at 13.20??

Thank you. I hope you can do it. We had a great dinner at Paine Grande on our last night camping.

So beautiful. Is there a season for better weather?
@theworldhiker12 жыл бұрын
Thanks Yongsung. Summer has the longest days, however I've heard that fall often is more stable weather

Great video, thanks. I was thinking of exactly this itinerary. Were there any restrictions around what time you had to start the hike to Serón by (after doing the mirador hike) on the first day?

Thanks! Glad you are thinking of doing this route. No one told us what time we had to be on the trail which was good.

Wonderful video. We are planning an O circuit fastpack for 2025 after we failed to secure reservations last season. How were you able to book so few nights? I've reached out to Vertice and they claim you're required to stay at Dickson/Perros/Grey? Thanks so much for the help!
@theworldhiker110 ай бұрын
Thanks! I booked the nights online with the different companies and was able to not book Dickson. Not sure if the system has changed but it worked for me.

you cant skip more than one camp during one day so you can do seron/los perros (skipping dickson) or dickson/los perros (skipping seron) on the first part, same for the second part. los perros is obligatory stay bc it's the camp before the pass, probably the hardest area and day

@theworldhiker1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! it was a big first day. I believe it was about 20 miles and 5,000 feet of vert if memory serves me right.

What time of year was this? Did you need much spending money on the trail itself? Thanks
@theworldhiker1 Жыл бұрын
We did this route at the end of December. We used the parks tent set up twice and got one dinner along the way. Maybe about 80 dollars a person total I believe

Hola, vives in Sacramento? Muy bien. Vivo en Santa Rosa. Muy cerca de ti. I'm looking at hiking the O this November. I was told that you have to stay at the campsites and can't skip them? (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXS3imOCocR-m7s) I'd prefer to do it in 4 - 5 days.

Hola, Si vivo en Sacramento. Yes we found that we could skip campsites as long as we had reservations for one ahead on the trail.

@@theworldhiker1 on day 4 did you go to Britanico Lookout (W part of the O) and then back to Base Torres, or did you skip those parts since you did Base Torres on day 1?
