What a spectacular place Greg!! You captured some beautiful images there. I know that feeling when suddenly the tripod and camera take a dive, in wind I often keep one hand on the tripod at all times after my 2nd tumbe that damaged my camera & L series 70-200mm lens. Both repaired and insured. You never know when a gust of wind is going to hit you! Great work Greg!!

I just came back from a few weeks in TdP, including a photo group like this, all of these locations, staying in Rio Serrano, even losing a hat to the wind. It’s like re-living my trip, only I don’t have to see myself on camera 😂 I literally cannot get enough of TdP, and even though I just left there, watching you guys have a great time makes me even more excited to go back again in the future. Also, on my first solo trip to El Chalten in 2020, your videos were really helpful, so just wanted to say thanks!

I love when you and Brendan get together for a few videos. And not just because of the Canadian thing. You guys have great chemistry together... and speaking of chemistry with someone, when are you and Nellie going to do a video together. You two were one of the best KZbin couples when you did videos like your whats in my camera bag, Nellie won that one, and when you both made the Korean meal!

Peter!! Thanks man. Good times on tour with BvS that's for sure. Yes Nellie is living her best life and her focus has changed from YT. She still loves the camera but has less interest in making videos which is totally understandable.

That wind was really powerful! I'm glad you were able to get the hat back after that one! The scenery was incredible too despite the windy conditions. I can already tell the next video is going to be a good one!

Great shots at the lake and drone video. Yikes about not being able to access trails pre-dawn. Planning a trip Feb 2024 and need to re-think what we will photograph.

Great video man, love the drone work 🙂So the hotel you stayed is outside the park boundaries, right? Did they let you in before sunrise?
@gregorsnell

Yes and yes. You can enter the park before sunrise it's only certain trails that are unaccessible for walking pre sunrise.

Good eye. I forgot about them and went back to try and find them but one of the group beat me to it and saw them on the ground which was lucky. They are prescription and I need them. I do have a back up pair but losing them would suck.

Hi Greg, back to TDP next week - What is the stance on drones? i see everywhere online that it is highly forbidden, what do you advise?
@gregorsnell
@gregorsnell Ай бұрын
Yeah you cannot fly in the National Park. Only places you can fly are at Rio Serrano ‘town’ outside the southern border of the park and around Lago Toro. Enjoy the trip but be respectful of the National Park boundaries and rules. 👍

I am sorry, can you clarify where you cannot go anymore and why (as per the discussion starting around 3:45)?
@gregorsnell
@gregorsnell Жыл бұрын
Hi Brian, yeah Brendan was saying a lot of the trails are unaccessible pre dawn, so no trekking at night to photograph astro or sunrise. Only some though and I'm not exactly sure how many or which ones. We would have to ask the CONAF staff on arrival next season.
