I cried too when I saw this clip when it happened and broke my heart watching IU holding back tears! IU went through so many heart breaking times during those few years and we were so worried about IU but so happy to see her breaking through these times! I love and respect IU so much and SK is lucky to have her. I hope listening to IU’s songs will help you heal from whatever you are going through!

IU is different from everyone, it's impossible to see her crying even if you try I see, a lot of idols crying but I don't see her crying, she doesn't show her feelings in public but you will feel like your heart breaks as soon as you hear her sing, that's what makes her the number one writer She is a great person, very strong and pure, and I love her more than anything

We know Tors, we know. There's nothing to be sorry about. I cried the whole day when I first watched that video. Just thinking how IU must be feeling. Like how her shoulders are squeezing together, her back bent making her look smaller than she already is. How she's singing with every fiber of her being, trying hard not to break down. How controlled her singing was even though she could be screaming. This is what crying without tears look like. And we were also in pain just watching IU braving the emotions. She's allowed to breakdown and cry but she didn't. Personally I like that the story line of her dramas are heartbreaking. At least they're allowing release of emotion from Jieun. If only we could take her pain away 😭😭😭 Aaaaahhh I thought I'm over this performance but I'm reminded again and I never will. Sending virtual hugs and loves to where you are, Torsie 💜

There are videos of the whole 35 minutes en-encore part of this concert - even more heartbreaking, as you can see IU's distress right from the start, and then singing one sad song after another until she ends with this. I understand that for some people watching that is unbearable, but for me, seeing her cope that way was a living embodiment of the message of Love Poem, and helped me cope with my loss too. I'll always be grateful to IU.

I attended her next love poem concert in Taipei, she was full of energy and singing beautifully. However audiences held back the dear name request when they heard the tragedy and saw her tiny body. They ask Leon instead.

Listening to IU singing Dear Name especially knowing what had happened is so emotional and yet so comforted that she soldiered on to sing because her unaenas are always there for her. Her Hong Kong concert must had heartened her when the audience put up the placards with their names written on it to tell her she is precious to unaenas, she and they mattered to each other 😍
