I was riding the subway when the Shinee version with lyrics popped up in my YT feed. I just clicked on it and like 60 secs in, tears started flowing. Not only did their voice hit me, the lyrics.... Shawols know instantly. Thank God for the mask and my glasses. I don't think anyone noticed the tears rolling.

They all slay, especially when singing together. However, Onew is something special. And, if you can believe it, some anti-fans and non-SHINee stans still say Taemin can't sing.....WHAT?! I wish they would listen to him here.

Taemin can definitely sing. He probably hurt his voice a little bit through over practice, just a personal thought. Because when he was younger, the texture of his voice was smoother. But at the end of the day, he has a wide range and can convey emotions fully.

@@zhulin2531 I think it’s a stylistic choice the way Taemin sang in a breathy, smooth voice. Cause in Clockwork or in some of his other songs you hear less of it. Anyway, I was first caught by his incredible dancing but stayed because of his voice and the way it can convey the right emotion.

Taemin military service will end next year and shinee announced already their 2023 comeback and I'm so excited.. I hope sm promote them well again like they did in their last comeback even though shinee was popular among the industry I just still felt that sm didn't gave justice to their talents because when the time they're active before jonghyun incident the group doesn't promoted enough just like their label mate super junior and girls generation.. 2nd Gen Era of sm was focused on suju and snsd and less active in shinee's activities while these groups was actually equally talented and they need more of recognition equally.

We are all waiting for a collab between Onew and IU now that IU stated in front of him (and SHINee) she wants to do one. Dear Name is a really beautiful song and I love both versions. Those harmonies from SHINee just killed me. So pretty... About Minho, yes he is the main rapper, but as he is from SM.... he is super good at singing. He is a member of SHINee, known for their amazing harmonies and he is the one in charge of some of the lowest harmonies. Actually his voice really suits ballads a lot and his only solo song has a nice drama feel to it (not like a pop ballad?). In another group, his vocals would be probably used even more than in SHINee even if they are used in SHINee (just not often in their Korean title tracks). Btw the whole episode of IU's pallette with SHINee (Shining palette) is really interesting even if it's a little bit longer than your usual videos. There is also more live performances, IU's singing her own version of Sherlock (Clue + Note) and SHINee singing Kind, one of their songs from their 7th album. Also, even if it was released only today, I want to recommend SHINee's recording session for Don't call me. The process is just really interesting and it is a rare gift to have this kind of video from SHINee (I was always curious about how they record their songs and the amount of harmony track they have to make for just one song). Also, once you 'll completely finish to dive into NCT (127/Dream/WayV/U), you will find a lot of recording session videos from them. A lot. The oldest form 2018 with NCT 2018 project and the most recent one with 127 and their 2nd Japanese mini album, LOVEHOLIC. Those videos are available for most of their title tracks, but also for some of their side tracks which is really nice.
