I know the weather is much like in Scotland and Ireland changing much and can be cold or warm in a same day, but what periode would be most recommended? Also not too touristy but more hotel availability for spontaneous cruises around the isles instead of planning everything ahead of time

The most popular or best season is between May - August. The puffin colonies return to the islands, much more sunshine and opportunity for better weather. The English call this “Neutral” whilst meaning how they lack imagination & individuality.

@@LukeGeeTravels It's not so bad. Emphasis is on the first syllable and every vowel is pronounced (usually). But there is a caution. Spoken Finnish is different from formal Finnish. So what you might read in a book is not what you'll hear on the streets.

@@LukeGeeTravelsevery state in the USA has a parliament (called State Legislature or General Assembly). Also, these states are more than autonomous, they're officially sovereign, just as the federal government. Yet, no one refers to Alaska, Hawaii or even Guam as countries, simply because it's not what they are. The same thing applies to the Faroe Islands. There is a principle in international law that to be considered a sovereign country, an entity must be able to enter into diplomatic relationships with other countries/governments. Apart from some limited aspects, and since 2005 only, the foreign relations of the Faroe Islands are handled by Denmark. Currently, the Faroe Islands are not a sovereign country, but maybe they will be in the future.
