ALMOST didn't get this uploaded today! But, I got it! Here is a tutorial video on how to adjust your torsion keys on a torsion front end. I have some work done on my truck that helps out, but all the adjustment is the same no matter what. Hope this helps.

I honestly didn’t expect it to make this much of a difference! 5 turns and she looks a whole lot better and my CVs are still golden. Appreciate the vid bro!

Do I need an alignment if I only want to go 1 inch on the t bar crank? Otherwise everything is stock
@LIVINGTHEDREAMSTEAD
@LIVINGTHEDREAMSTEAD 6 жыл бұрын
ZShaners recommendation is that any time your torsion keys get adjusted, but it shouldn't effect your alignment too much to go up an inch.

how's the acceleration on your truck?I just bought the same truck about a month ago and it seems off to me when I try to build speed I can't tell if it's just me or something else, thanks

Chris 63097 acceleration is ok. definitely not the fastest truck I've driven, but it doesn't seem to be lagging much.

PATH OF LIFE thanks I agree mine just seems to loose power or something at certain points but I like it overall Idk maybe I should have just gotten full size if was worried about speed I guess. Nice truck and video by the way I want to level mine to at some point

yea, I hear ya. hey, thanks for the comments, let me know if there are any questions going into the adjustment of your truck, I have thought about doing a follow-up video to this at some point but don't know where I could add clarification.

PATH OF LIFE your welcome man, your videos are very helpful and detailed I'm sure you could think of more to do and say about the truck if you want to add more.Thank you I will ask you if I have any questions when I do mine. these are great trucks I agree completely about what you say about sitting up higher though. Thanks for offering your help and responding to me with your opinion in the first place I look forward to your future videos and subscribed

Thanks very much for the video and the explanations. I have a 2012 Crew Cab Z85 4WD am planning on doing a Torsion Key add on with a 2 to 3" shackle add on also. I'll probably only do 2 inches in back and bring the truck level in front. I've seen some kits advertised as able to run 32" tires and thinking that a thinner tire like a 235 might work better to reduce rubbing. I know that Hankook Cooper and Pro Comp make A/T Tires in LT235 85 16 and the Pro Comps can be had for about $140 a tire. I'm hoping the shop that does the install can tell me more about whether the size will rub and more about parts to help out with alignment issues. Thanks for the vid. To address the underpowered comments some are saying here it's important to keep the air filter clean and try running good quality fuel treatment products like Rislone Fuel Treatment through the engine about every 5 K miles. Also make sure you change the plugs and use ONLY AC Delco Iridium and do not adjust the gap on those plugs. They last 99,000 Miles and are the best. Also use full syn oil and a Mobile 1 high end oil filter for the 3.7L I5 it's the one to go with. Don't use a K&N oil soaked filter or you will wreck your Cat and exhaust manifold. I have 172,000 + Miles on my 2012 and it runs STRONG I blow Silverados off the line !! The 235 85 16 is 31.7" according to tiresize.com.

Hi is the adjustment for the rear suspension the same as the front? Also when you run 33" tyres do you have any problem with rubbing on the inside of the wheel wells at full lock?
@LIVINGTHEDREAMSTEAD
@LIVINGTHEDREAMSTEAD 6 жыл бұрын
Brendan Halpin no sir. To lift the rear, I put longer shackles on my leaf springs. I have only run 31 inch tires and have had no rubbing at all. Looking at everything at full lock it seems I have enough space to go up to a 33 if I wanted. Unsure though as I have not heard it.. thanks for watching!

You will definitely rub any bigger than 31’s... I have 32’s and the inside and outside of the tire corners rubs pretty bad with the inside lower fender. Not fun, horrible turning radius!

I am looking at going bigger than the 31s on a similar lift. It looks like I’ll be rubbing on the sway bar. Anyone else get this or have a solution to make it work?
