Ur defending him, Griffith is a selfish man who only cared about his own goals, using those close to him as nothing more than pawns, I hate him for how he ended up and what he did to guts and casca

@@JustSendMeLocation Simplistic vision, Guts still did horrible things for the wrong reasons, he literally murdered a child by accident, that doesn't mean that he is a kill3r psycho,, in Berserk all the characters are tragic, Griffith's childhood It was literally selling himself and having traumas, he was selfish, but it is impossible not to be in such a fucked up world with such fucked up conditions, Guts even almost forces Casca to maintain relationships with him before meeting isidro if it is not because his humanity does not abandon him,, he is a character strong and resilient, but he is still human, a year of torture completely dehumanized Griffith, there are many Berserk readers who with just one illness and being in the hospital having a hard time would be capable of sacrificing even their own country to survive, people don't realize how far you could go until you are at that lowpoint,anyone can judge how you would act, it is another thing to live through a traumatic experience.

I agree. I think those demons recreated griffith with only the darkest sides if hime and completely got rid of the good(which was probably majority).

Griffith was a narcissist from the very beginning, only using his soldiers as pawns. Even the whole torture sequence was his fault and due to his controlling behavior

Griffith's dreams good for worlds. If you want to change the world, you have to become a powerful man and power is not a good thing. Lelouch wasn't a good guy he killed millions of people but he changed the world and this is a good thing. Griffith didn't kill millions of people he just killed his own squad. And nobody can't say raping is more bad than killing millions of people ig. Griffith could've a main character in this show easily but Miura didn't want to. @@aperson9603Kaneki probably went through a lot more, but because he has regeneration and stuff, it didn't affect him as much as it did Griffith. It's like taking $1M from a Billionaire Vs taking $100k from a regular dude. IIRC Griffith was tortured for longer, but imo since what would kill Griffith would only hurt Kaneki, there's probably a lot of delaying since they WANTED to keep Griffith alive.

@@comicstrider4851if you look at it from an emotional standpoint - Kaneki was tortured far more severe. Griffith was a narcissist and physical pain only made him more egoistic (thus, instead of getting whipped and mildly tortured he got a full on jigsaw treatment for humiliating the king). You can clearly see that Griffith really snapped only when he saw Casca with Guts. Furthermore,there were consecutive cases of skin flailing, burning and flesh rotting, which lead to pain receptors gedradation. So, in the end Griffith wasn't feeling much anymore. And Kaneki felt the same pain over and over again. And also had a bug messing with his head all the time. So it's really hard to tell, who actually had it worse.

That was the plot's intention, that Griffith would have defeated renowned rivals on the battlefield, only to end up being tortured by a fetishistic and sickly deformed dwarf, basically something that at the time would not have even been a match for the band of the Falcon

Griffith he didnt want them to be part at time of eclipe i guess he truly cared until the god hands started making stories manipulating his thoughts havent been completely shown but that was deep inside the shell holding the burden of dead but being tortured every day seems ruining everything

Yeah, that's an interesting detail that many people seem to miss. When Griffith realized the Eclipse was approaching, he tried to warn Guts, but couldn't because his vocal cords were cut. The moment Guts touched him his despair maxed out, exactly because he felt that this would mean Guts' death. This feeling of ultimate despair started the Eclipse. It is questionable how much of the old Griffith is still in Femto, since his very soul was remade by the Idea of Evil. Some parts for sure, but Griffith was clearly capable of a lot of empathy before, which is seemingly completely gone now.

The behelit was destined to come back to him no matter what. But it also wouldn't have made sense for them to abandon him because they still considered him their leader, and wanted to save him. They didn't know he had turned to the "dark side".

@@Crevicius Zodd gave them fair warning on the behilit from the very beginning and Guts right before the eclipse almost dies protecting everyone from another apostle - Wylad and is warned by Zodd again even if Guts ignored Zodd or the other example of an apostle being vile-disparaging demons that are clearly stated to be tied to the behilit, Guts knows Griffiths destiny even if he doesnt have the behilit and that the demons are still hanging around him and only him telling him, telling him straight to his face what’s going on. not to mention how they hid griffith from the hawks to keep them from the moment of complete desertion with possibly guts ignoring griffith attempting to choke him and casca blatantly disregarding griffiths attempt at sexual assault they had all the reason to see he changed but for divine intervention or divine comedy the situation never called for the finality of these reasonings also skull knight was there warning his ass

It's griffith, a "villain" from Berserk manga and anime, You should read the manga to fully get to know what happened and I hate spoiling but basically he was tortured after being found with a princess in bed after he lost a duel with his best mercenary in the band, Guts, which was deciding because he left the band afterwards. So Griffith the leader of Band of the Hawk was captured and sentenced to a year of torture to get rescued by Guts and rest of the Band of the Hawk. He was in a mourning state though and was a shell of what warrior he once was, let's just say it did not end well later on and I won't spoil that part, but it's much different from eating bowl of soup with a woman (casca) in the end.

I don't agree, these are pathway of darkness for Griffith. Sure everything was his choice, he is responsible for both torture and eclipse. Actually not just torture, his whole lideas was wrong. But still he neither deserve it or can be forgiven for what he had done in eclipse
