There are two areas that control the evasion of a ship: Engine block and navigation block. Destroying either will cripple a ship and leave it with zero evasion, guaranteeing weapon hits. The pilot/nav block has far less health than an engine block, so hitting and destroying this component will make engagements much easier. Congrats on your win my guy.

Personal favorite strategy with mind control is to sit on it until I have weapons fully charged up then mind control a unit in a 4 slot room (preferably shields), then unload everything I have into that room to do maximum crew damage to as many people as possible while simultaneously taking their shields offline. If you have something like a bio beam or a fire beam you can potentially end the entire fight in one volley sometimes.

Just not in the final battle, kill the crew of the flagship and it switches to drone control, it's the worst case scenario.

Hey, did you know if you have a lots of rooms with oxygen and a few that are empty (like after putting out a fire or killing enemy crew), if you open all doors with the button on the bottom right they will air out almost instantly, also at 1:40:10, if you kill all the crew in a ship you get a lot more scrap.

hey AA, have you ever played Genesis Alpha One? in case you do not know this game, check it out. i think you might like it. burst 3 might not be quite as energy efficient as mk2, but it has a very high shot/time, 5 shot barrages are VERY powerful and its way better then the charge II

I have to disagree. Burst laser mk2 is besides the flag mk1 the best buy able weapon in case of firepower. Its reloading time is much shorter, which is why it fires faster than the burst mk3 which means u can faster take out enemy weapons. If they hit u in ur weapons first when u have the mark3, ur screwed.

Yeah the automated systems make the flagship a harder fight, my preference has been defeating the weapons and then relying on damage rather than system hits for that fight. Easier with a crew because you can keep the guns offline with no one to repair them, the automatics though have no such dilemma.

I love the Fed Cruiser, also the crystal ship is a potential unlock from the stasis pod event, because you can get a crystal rock man if I remember right.

Yeah, you can do a mission in the Zoltan homeworlds with the pod that unlocks the final stage so long as Ruwen stays alive, needs to go to the rock homeworlds for the final phase, then you need to activate the device with a Zoltan to get the ship from the hidden crystal worlds. Was a fun unlock.

Dude the burst III, outclassed the charge III considerably, though... ... also later on that Flak I outclassed it by a greater margin, still! Best play is running the burst II..... and also pair the burst III with pegasus powering up whichever best suits the current situation.

This game has nothing to do with mastering, it's mostly luck I have more than 300 hours, i still play on easy because on hard it's pretty common to get softlocks or worse, without mentioning that anything non-meta is useless This game made me realize the bs of RNG and how it takes away skill as a requirement

@@rompevuevitos222 two years later but the game is a lot of risk management. yes, there is a lot of rng. But there are people who have done stuff like 92 wins in a row while playing on Hard and while never pausing. There is a lot of skill/knowledge/strategy involved.

@@Dcookies100 Yes, because the game allowed them to win 92 times. There is a difference between randomness in a game like Isaac and a game where what the numbers say is what will happen. In Isaac you can get the worst items possible, horrible spawns, etc. BUT if you're skilled, you can win every time by simply dodging well. In this game if the dodge roll fails, it fails. There is no agency over that other than rising the chance. And a chance is a chance no matter how high it is. At the end of the day it is like gambling, your skills can raise your chances, but the game decide your fate. If you reach the flagship and didn't have luck in shops, that's it. There's no magic that will make it's shields go down faster than what your guns allow or something that can save you from failed missile dodges. The game decides if you win or loose.

@@rompevuevitos222 and you can mitigate those dice rolls by playing efficiently and managing your risk. if you think a 92 run streak with ALL ships (3 cycles of each, even the terrible ones) on hard no pause (extremely difficult way to play) isn't indicative that the game can be played in a skillful way and is just "the game letting them win", then idk what to tell you. Sounds like delusion. Have a good one.
