They are an art form together. So graceful and flowing on the ice. And so expressive.

Thank you so much for posting "Missing"(from "Bladerunners")I thought I would never get to see it again.T&D are pure theater on ice. They are like two angels on a cloud, their edges deep and making nary a sound (unless they mean to)this might be my favorite program of theirs. Everything they do is enchanting.

I have been thinking about this routine for years and have never been able to find it. Thank you!

Earthiness and grounded energy. Connected lines in movement. Always a sense of "equality" of their dance -- both are just a strong. I'm looking back after 30 years!

The song is called "Dolencias" and it's available at iTunes. This version is by Incantation from their album "Panpipes of the Andes."

This is one of Jayne's best costumes, perfect for the theme, flatters her, and it moves so beautifully without becoming an impediment.. I agree it is a minor consideration but God is in the details.

The music: "Papel de Plata" and "Kacharapaya" by Incantation. I found this info on a clip from the Duschenays' version that won Worlds in 1991.

same song, almost identical routine- 2 very different interpretations. Torvill and Deans was ballet like and smooth, with many facial passionate gestures to convey the message. The Duchesnay dance with that particular style of song used enabled them to link beyond the grace of ballet and reach out to the world of the raw trouble going on in south America. Who you like better is matter of pure preference.

Torville and Dean is my all time favourite dance skating pair, however,I found with this performance I like the Duchesnays raw expression better.

@kathyannemay1991 Excerpt from T&D ’s autobiography : ... Chris’s response to some Andean music, which reminded him of the terrible things - particularly the officially sanctioned kidnappings - that had been happening in Chile and Argentina in recent years. The subject was very much in the air after the Falklands War, and more recently the Costa Gavras movie, Missing. Chris saw in his mind those who had vanished,

Due to the fact that the word ville normally ends with an E, I think that my mistake was understandable. "oops I hope I spel everything correctly".

So you do not think that T&D is my fav.started watching figure skating in 1995,loved teams Bourne-Kraatz,Anassina-Piezerah,ect.Heard a lot about Torvill-Dean,watched their amature & professional performances, their syncronization, inovation, lifts were amazing. However, their excellence is what made the Duchesnays RAW expression more apealing in (Missing)

Funny! I thought you would think 1995 for T&D was a bit late in watching them as they were past their glory days, believe me or not,The Nancy Kerrigan incedent drew me to figure skating, but your opp.Guss what!! I'm sure I will spell it another time with an "E" at the end,but whatever your obsession is with T&D, the've gotten old anyway.OUT**
