Torworth Level Crossing

Saturday August 17 2013 at 1.22. Probably the 12.00 London to Inverness (20.06) train heading north on the East Coast Main Line south of Doncaster. Torworth is a north Nottinghamshire village of 160 people. Gouges in the road surface after the crossing suggest that people have been driving too fast over the crossing. The speed limit is 60 mph and there is nothing to indicate to drivers that the crossing surface isn't good enough for that speed. In 2011 a track worker was hit by a train here.
