It's operated appallingly 90% of the time! They really don't think about what it is doing to the road network! Oddly on occasion it has random couple of days where it is operated better and trains come in around 1 minute to a minute and a half, but then it just goes back to its normal way. Maybe dependent on operator, who knows!

You want to learn to observe the red traffic signal rather than videoing on your hand held phone whilst driving and before you spout any more shit about safety of passengers go find out exactly how that crossing works, who owns it, who maintains it, who staffs it. FYI it is a private crossing on a private road.

The house was a compulsary purchase by Network Rail I hear, work is intended to take place here for a new bridge. This idea may now be scrapped however.

They've been talking about building a bridge here for at least 15 years, and no progress has been made at all so far. However, East West Rail did make the very ambitious statement that they wanted to close every single crossing on this line.

@@c.s-crossings EWR have back tracked, most LCs are to be MCB-CCTV/OD renewals now. I emailed NR fairly recently enquiring about this crossing and the plan in the future is bridge for now.

This crossing did use to have Half Barriers, and also it used to have no barriers before that (it was an AOCL a long time ago). Not every crossing on the Marston Vale Line used to be gated, as the oned on the Buckinghamshire end of it used ro have old barriers and wigwags
