The four candidates are TERRIBLE. Couldyou trust any of these hypocrites with babysitting your kids. Jendrick's lurch to the right, Badenoch's lurch into the mental asylum, Tugenhat's ridiculous new stance on the ECHM and Cleverly's riposte to nominative determinism. CLOWN SHOW, anyone? Badenoch, in particular, is an especially asinine. Jendrick is clearly a sociopath. I might have had time for Turgenhat, but his recent statements have indicated that he will say anything to appeal to the right (or, more properly, 'the wrong').

7:22 If Kier Starmer was generally declaring all his free gifts, he should put Kemi Badenoch at the top. _Kemi the Tory gift that promises to keep on giving!_

Implicitly accusing UK Special Forces of murdering suspected terrorists as a matter of course was not Jenrick's best move.

The labour lead never dropped below 20% in 1997. That's lead not backing... the differences from now cannot be overstated

I smell a rat. I believe certainly Andrew Marr isn't going to say a thing that helps the Tories. Not sure why but he's latched on to Starmer. He points to Cleverly because he is looking to promote someone who will never outdo Starmer. When the Tories do have a leader - who is not ready yet - Tom Tugendhat. Tugendhat is very self-focused - he hasn't grasped that his military leadership is a CV thing - not the way to show he understands the UK people and their circumstances. But that's a small thing - if he got past himself in that area he has the principles and qualities of a great leader - someone with a great deal more substance than the other candidates.

Really nice to see just Rachel Cunliffe, Andrew Marr and George Eaton for a change, without Hannah Barnes. Personal preference - Hannah Barnes is amazing and talented, but for me it hasn't gelled yet in terms of the chemistry of the conversation. It doesn't feel as relaxed as this. Perhaps over time it will.
