From a logical standpoint that would be a unrealistic writing. Sam didnt do her any wrong! It was Daniel who stopped the fight, not Sam. The only logical reason to me they would become enemies again, is if Tory for example got injected with that snake venom that made Kreese so evil that he was able to kill Johnny in his dream. If Tory got that stuff in her now, yes then I am sure all her positive feelings towards Sam but also Robby are gone. Otherwise it would weird if Tory suddenly hates Sam and Robby now.

Bro I’m with you. Cobra Kai is her home. It’s where she was first introduced. It’s the only thing that probably makes sense to her and it’s comforting especially after what she’s going through. Is it the right path? Probably not and it’ll probably be a difficult path to navigate. But she’ll find her way. One way or another, she’ll find her way. 🐍

Tory was the only well written & interesting character the first part of this season. Kwon was a good new addition but he's more of a side character. Out of the main core, only Tory got interesting stuff.

Tory was the best character of the season but personally, there were other great characters too. The only thing is most of the characters were written better outside of Karate related like seeing their school lives progress since now they're preparing for college. I'd say besides Tory, Johnny was another character I loved in the season. Sure, he did get annoying at times especially when he got way too obsessed with Devon Lee he kept on forcing Mike Barnes to let Devon Lee in the Sekai Taikai, but that didn't shy away from how great he was. That scene where Johnny and Daniel argued over Tory's fate in episode 5 had my favorite performance from William Zabka as the character.

I have a theory, i feel like tory will win the female world title for cobra kai and robby win the male world title for Miyagi dojo. This will led to a tie between Miyagi do and cobra kai. Which means that in order to be able to choose which dojo deserves the title for world champion, they will have each sensei from each dojo to duel it out for the title. And who better than to see johnny and kreese duel it out for the title. I think it would be interesting to watch it play out.

Tory is lifeless empty and broken and most vulnerable. I dont understand why people have an issue with it, maybe it’s an “age thing” and just peeling back layers and understanding via her character.

The reason why Johnny wanted Tory to fight despite his mom's death was because Johnny himself experienced fighting at the time when his mom just recently died when he was a kid. Sure, he should have been open to the fact that Tory isn't Johnny and Johnny shouldn't make everyone like him, but it makes sense on why he thought Tory fighting while grieving is okay. But if there's one thing Johnny is right about when it comes to his beef with Daniel in their argument scene, Daniel needs to stop bringing up Mr. Miyagi in everything. The problem with Daniel throughout the show is that he thinks the world revolves around Miyagi and what he has learned from Miyagi's teachings. Daniel saying "it's not the Miyagi way" as the reason to not let Tory fight while grieving is unnecessary but I feel like they made him say it just to let Johnny express his feelings about Mr. Miyagi's secrets.

It makes sense why she would go back to Cobra Kai on an emotional level, but it's the logistics of it, that I don't get. You are telling me that they all watch Tori run off crying, and know she just suffered something horrifically traumatic, and not 1 person runs after her? They don't go to the funeral, they don't try to decide which girl is going to be the team captain on a different day maybe? It just makes zero sense. She and Robbie are dating. Why would he leave for Barcelona without speaking to her first. How did she even find Kreese? He's on the run from the law. How did Kreese get to Barcelona? Did he have a fake passport? Use a fake name when entering into the competition as one of the judges. They all know who he is. I know that Cobra Kai plays fast and loose with reality, and it's never bothered me a bit, but this seemed really far fetched.

Many people mentioning the things you mentioned, I mean all the logistics etc.. Of course its fictional, so maybe they just didnt care about these things. But I have a thought about all of this too: Maybe she didnt even join C.K. on her own wish? Maybe Daeun ambushed Tory after she left M-D, knocked her out, injected her that snake venom which made Kreese so cold and evil, then they brought her to Barcelona, and whe she woke up, she was CK again. Basically she was like kidnapped and it wasnt her own deciscion to join Cobra Kai. Sunyung wanted Kreese to become ice-cold and remove his weakness Johnny, so this venom is really evil, and if Tory really has it in her now, she will be very dangerous, like drugged or in a kind of trance. She looked so empty in the end standing between Kwon and Kreese, not angry or sad, but empty. Of cours its all speculative and I dont think its true. But if she was really knocked out and injected with that snake venom, it wasnt her own will to join C.K., and it would be an explanation how she came to Barcelona, and that nobody could find her after she left M-D.

It would feel a bit weird of course, but as you pointed out correctly, the thing with the white snake was already a kind of "magical" or "mystical". I know the founder of _The Karate Kid_ characters and bayically of the Miyagi-verse, Robert Mark Kamen, has a weakness for such things. In 2001 he wrote the storyline of _Kiss of the Dragon_ , starring Jet Li and Bridget Fonda (the niece of Jane Fonda), together with frenchmal Luc Besson and Jet himself. And since Jet and Besson arent famous for such "magical/mystical" things, I am sure that stuff came from Kamen. The Kiss of the Dragon has nothing to do with a kiss or a dragon, its a deadly but fictional killing technique with an acupuncture needle in the back of the neck. So I would not be surprised at all if Tory got kidnapped by Daeun after she said no to Kreese, basically she didnt want to join at her own wish, so they made her join by kidnapping her and injected her with that snake venom. And it would also explain how she could travel to Barcelona, and that the others couldnt find her after she left M-D. Actually after thinking more and more about it, as you correctly say, nobody would blame her because it wasnt her choice! And it would actually redeem her character completely. She would have been basically totally helpless and couldnt do anything. When Kreese got bitten by the snake, he lost conciousness. And when he woke up, he was ice-cold and removed his weakness Johnny once and for all. That shows ppl who get injected with it lose conciousness, and when they wake up, they are ice-cold. Daeun could just waited at her home and then ambush her from behind. No chance for Tory. We will see. Only so much: If this should be the case, she will be ice-cold now. I mean no feelings for Robby anymore, and ready to attack Sam, Robby and all others with full force. And it would even be more tragic because Robby, Sam and the others would think she joined C.K. at her own wish, when in reality she didnt and is complete innocent.

I’m 99.9% sure that Kreese is responsible for her mom’s death. Kreese confronted her in the parking garage of the hospital asking her to join him but she refused. Then her mom dies and she joins kreese. There’s also a close up of Tory’s mom’s hand making a fist which is a little suspicious. I think that in part 2 Tory will find out that Kreese is responsible for her mom’s death and she will betray him and rejoin miyagi fang

For storyline purposes, I would've been fine with Torey fighting out her emotions. It's like a professional athlete playing a game right after their loved one died. Before the fight stopped, it is fair to say she was fighting as if she was back in Cobra Kai. Meaning, she was fighting ruthless and heartless. But, again, her fighting would have helped her handle her current emotions. Again, this is for storyline discussion, ha. I wish these 5 parts weren't so spread out. Thumbs down to Netflix on this one. A marketing blunder.

It was the aunt threatening her that got me buying into it. Throw in Kreese repeatedly mentioning wanting an heir and Johnny saying he's 100% done with CK, and every sign points at Tory taking over. Unlike with a crying young Johnny, Kreese has gone above and beyond to protect Tory. He obviously cares for and probably sees a lot of himself in her. He won't let losing her family put her on the same angry path his did. EDIT: Add in Daniel announcing he's stepping down soon and Johnny's new baby and full-time job, that leaves Sam in line to run Miyagi Do. Cue the spinoff.

You missed the point. Johnny was Cobra Kai sensei in the first two seasons and that’s because he was a far better and caring sensei that people beg for him to come back because he can make Cobra Kai becoming the best version of it. It was practically the main point of the series when it started, showing CK redemption but it was thrown away after Season 2. And as for Tory, it’s apparently more logical that she joins the woman who abused her and attempted to kill her instead of staying with someone like Amanda who actually show her true support ?

While Kreese and her have a connection, she doesn't know any of the other students, and Kim Da Eun probably doesn't see what Kreese sees in her, and Troy probably doesn't like her either from season 5. Then again, Kim also didn't see Kwon for what he was capable of, and Kreese did.

It makes perfect sense because it's setting up a future spinoff where Tory and Sam become Johnny and Daniel. Kreese adopts Tory and her brother to keep them together, putting her in line to take over Cobra Kai. Daniel is stepping down and Johnny has an actual job and new baby coming. That leaves Sam in charge of Miyagi Do soon. Coincidence? NO. I'm just wondering the timeline for the spinoff. I thought it'd skip ahead 4 years, but fan favorite Hawk suddenly deciding not to go to college 3000 miles away has me wondering. We'll find out next year, I guess.

After Kreese to her look for herself and Tory got mad at him towards the end of last season, I felt that wouldn’t be the end for their relationship. Plus it wasn’t Kreese’s CK that caused her to leave or want to leave, it was Silver’s/Kim’s CK that did. And obviously if she helped him break out of jail, there was little that Kreese could do to protect her. While the latter’s still with them, since her mom passed, Kreese’s the only parental figure Tory has left. But it’s not out of hate towards Sam and the rest of the Miyagi-Dos (despite not letting her finish fighting Sam), it’s because it’s what for what she thinks is best for her right now.

You are not alone in seeing it this way. From your foto I see you arent a teeny too like me, and we see it maybe a bit different as teenys (which is normal of course). Robby and Tory love each other very much, that isnt just some unmeaningfull relationship. And of course she would lean on him in such a situation. But you know what crosses my mind since a couple days after the episodes came out: Maybe she didnt even join C.K. on her own wish? Maybe Daeun ambushed Tory after she left M-D, knocked her out, injected her that snake venom which made Kreese so cold and evil, then they brought her to Barcelona, and whe she woke up, she was CK again. Basically she was like kidnapped and it wasnt her own deciscion to join Cobra Kai. Sunyung wanted Kreese to become ice-cold and remove his weakness Johnny, so this venom is really evil, and if Tory really has it in her now, she will be very dangerous, like drugged or in a kind of trance. She looked so empty in the end standing between Kwon and Kreese, not angry or sad, but empty. Of cours its all speculative and I dont think its true. But if she was really knocked out and injected with that snake venom, it wasnt her own will to join C.K., and it would be an explanation how she came to Barcelona, and that nobody could find her after she left M-D.

I disagree with the whole "you don't fight when your mom dies" remark, though. For the same reason I disagreed with Daniel: No one should gets to tell Tory how to grieve, cope and deal with her loss. If I had been her sensei, I'd insisted she went three rounds with ME knowing she'd have a marginally smaller chance of inflicting any serious injuries on me if she lost control. If she wanted to fight, shed fight. Just not at the Sekai Taikai that year. Not because I don't want her to fight for her mom, but because fighting for her little brother was more important. He needed Tory to help his mom take care of him when she was alive, and with their mom gone, he'd need her more than ever. The Sekai Taikai is prestigious, but it's not important. It's just a sports competition.

The episode was both good and bad to me I've lost family members so I understand Tory's emotional state of mind. Regardless of what she was feeling in the moment in the back of the dojo she was using the tryout for the Captain spot as a distraction from what she was going through. She hadn't had any real time to process fully that she lost her mother that's why Daniel was trying to negotiate to have the event be rescheduled to be fair to Tory and Sam. But Tory wanted to do it anyway because she didn't want to dwell on losing her mother but it was the wrong time for Tory to compete since mentally she was lashing out at Sam so regardless Tory was still in a grieving process to be worked out. I agree with Daniel's argument against Johnny over Tory her head wasn't in the game and she just lost her mother whom she was looking after all this time. But I do agree about the problems with Kreese in episode five how was he able to go to South Korea, then back to America, and then to Spain? Why and how did Tory find Kreese when she just brushed him off? Her last words to him in the parking lot was "I'm a champion, I'm not your champion!" And i'm sorry but I just didn't buy Kreese saying he's not easy to get caught to Tory Kreese may be a veteran and a master at Karate but this is the 21st Century we're talking about here. Where cameras are everywhere and there was an A.P.B. out on Kreese's escape from prison someone would've spotted Kreese and in reality the local PD would've had that parking garage blocked off to trap Kreese.

People are saying that Kreese might’ve killed her mum and honestly this isn’t a bad theory all in all, after all, Tory’s mum’s hand is the shape of a fist and NO ONE is doing that for no reason so she might’ve been attacked, Kreese tried to persuade Tory to rejoin him at Cobra Kai but refused and her mum died later the same day while Kreese was in the valley, if I remember correctly when he convinced her to join cobra Kai again can in season 3, that was outside her home so he’d know where to go, the mum was getting better until her death meaning it was sudden, Kreese would see this as an opportunity to get Tory angry and back to her old self and potentially join Cobra Kai, so don’t count this theory out, it could be possibly even tho it does look unlikely

In this instance Robby has earned the captain status because he defeated Miguel. if she wanted to fight she shouldve been allowed period. athletes have been faced with it before - u think the nba is gona tell a player not to play bc their family member passed? tory is old enough to make that decision. who is Daniel's wife to tell Tory how she should feel about something. granted yes she was devastated but in order to help you will compound it by denying her the biggest opportunity of her life which she has been working towards for months or yrs? there would be no risk for her competition - it wouldn't be like allowing a pilot to fly a plane the next day after losing a loved one and the pilot is too emotional and makes a critical error causing a crash. by telling her not to fight bc she should be grieving is telling her there is only one moment of time that grieving should take place as if the pain from the death will then go away after she grieves immediately.

You seem to be going by the notion that the end of episode 5 happened right after the death. Like days. I was under the assumption that they are flash forwarding to episode 15 and the tournament. It feels like we will get all the filler and explanations needed in Part 2. It will probably be all the stories leading up to episode 10. Honestly jumped out at me right away. Series do that. Like walking dead did with the wrath episode between Negan and Rick. Beginning of season … showing the ending scene of the season episode 1 of that season. Feel me ?
