30:15 I think that epistemology is the most important tenet of Objectivism. Without reason, justification of, knowledge you cannot pursue your happiness, and you cannot protect your values (You cannot know even that you're a person without it). Or, reason is equivalent to egoism but follows first. But knowledge presuppose that something exists, and that is the role of metaphysics. I am not sure, whether metaphysics is included in epistemology, but certainly partially is. You should think at first to live your life, to live with purpose. You need to understand that you exist, that you choose to survive, what your appropriate values are, what the nature of theirs is. What is essential for you, for your survival and, afterwards, for your happiness. You can say "I'm happy" validly only if you know so. Therefore, it's wrong to say that if you are happy, then you don't need reason. How you can manage your happiness, and how do you know it? Egoism cannot be reduced to just "happiness". I think it's misinterpretation, when happiness is isolated from knowledge. That scheme means the right idea of ultimate goal, but idea, goal and happiness presupposes reason. Epistemology and ethics must be together, at least. Rationality is the prime virtue.
