I think what’s so captivating about Reflections is the atmosphere it creates. It develops with feeling of longing, or reminisce of something that once was. I believe I heard it the first time in an animation and whewww that violin is magical. All his songs have this nostalgia feel that is just so beautiful

Sadness hits the hardest when you are alone, it takes control over you when you are vulnerable and alone. That bitter feeling in your heart, comes out and you finally let everything out. The music helps the sadness by adding a little bit of sweetness. The feeling of bittersweet, or nostalgia.

We know little, yet this music communicates more about the composer than we could ever hope to understand. Melancholia, joy, nostalgia, romance....Everything at once? Who can say? All we have are feelings. Real human feelings put to the medium of music. And that is everything.

I have explored a vast array of musical genres and forms, including classical music, but I must confess-there is something uniquely enchanting about this piece. The emotions it evokes are unparalleled, delivering a pleasure so profound that it feels as though I am being lifted out of the world’s clamor and transported to a realm dominated by silence and peace. It brings an indescribable sense of relief, a sanctuary for the soul. What’s astonishing is how addictive it becomes. I can’t recall ever listening to the same piece of music every single day for over two years, yet here I am, unable to let it go. As it plays, it seems to awaken the dormant corners of my mind. Every book that has ever ignited my imagination resurfaces, their vivid scenes unspooling before me as though I am no longer a mere reader but a firsthand witness to their stories. It’s surreal-an experience unlike anything I’ve felt before. I imagine this music as the perfect companion to a serene evening, reading by the fire in an old, majestic mansion, snow softly falling outside. It paints a picture of life far removed from the chaos of bustling cities and the noise that often fills our minds. For me, this music is a doorway to escape, a passage to tranquility. Thank you, Toshifumi, for creating such a masterpiece.

I listened to this while laying in bed, The first piece, it had this soft touch of sadness, like a pleasant but gloomy day. But when i closed my eyes i saw a woman slow dancing with the man she loved, her head lightly pressed to his chest. Even though she had what she wanted i felt her anxiety as she feared his feelings for her is not as strong as hers. I opened my eyes and realized the album's name.

I used to listen to Toshifumi Hinata's music/pieces during the pandemic era, and every time I played his albums waking up at 7 am, it felt liminal, reminiscing of all the things I did and what could've been. I used to lay down on the living room floor, numb and staring at the ceiling while listening to his pieces. I did feel a sharp pain whenever it hit, but most of the time it felt warm as if I felt a warm hug that no one in my life had given to me before.

This song mainly became popular because of TikTok... And it saddens me when a great song is only known for such a topical reason, not the beauty of the music itself and the story it tells
@veesthingsflowers3885

Don't be so pessimistic .Why do you think it has become popular again on social media? It obviously has piqued the curiosity of young folk even if it's just because of a silly trend. His videos have jumped to thousands of views, on Spotify this song has millions of plays. So there are plenty of peoole seeking this music even if they originally came across it from a TikTok trend. There's nothing wrong with that.

the song ‘reflections’ became famous because it was sampled in a song by rapper, trefuego, in his song ‘90mh’, and people loved the sample so much that the original sample got famous as well. crazy how two totally different genres can hold each other up

i dunno man i definitely feel that but i also get a character that went from "feeling aight with the homies" to "everyone i loved has been killed and now i must live out the rest of my days in this village knowing i will never get the revenge i so justly seek i have seen true carnage and the darker nature of man unleashed and now i can no longer shed the tears i once had for my loved ones, and the homeland i lost. I only know the pain of the longing to reminisce with the people of my country slaughtered long ago" the harsh passage of time resonates strongly with this piece as the song begins to move slower and slower like the body that has begun to decay and wither with time

This song reminds me of a time where I waited for the one, yes the one. In a cafe that shimmers sunlight only when it's golden hour outside, as I wrote in my journal all the past memories that of which I used to live. Only to find out that what I've been yearning for this entire time was for that special person to have the same feeling as I felt, every time I saw their face. I know it's foolish of me to even write this here, but please read my message with heart. & know you're worth it even if your special person doesn't realize it. You're a special person in someone else's heart.
