At the start of things, being a hero like this without a quirk wasn’t much of an option, but desperate times call for desperate measures. In a lot of ways, this suit is a symbol of the love and determination that got him to this point. And the cherry on top for me is that it has Melissa’s voice.*

Yep! It’s official…This season just might be my favorite season of the entire series and the best one so far. Bones did not fumble a single time on the stuff I was looking forward to and they deserve so much credit for how they handled this season. They did a great job adapting the conclusion of Toga’s character and all the armored All Might scenes were perfectly adapted. I literally jumped out of my seat out of hype and did not sit down till the episode was over! And I love the tease they did for the next season. This entire season is certainly without a doubt, up there in my top 4. But the final season might take up a slot up there. Extremely hyped for the final season, especially since I’m hearing the same director this season is working on the final one. Extremely hyped, but bitter sweet for me. Definitely not ready to say goodbye to this series a second time and for it to officially be over. Hopefully we could get a movie that takes place after the series is over and expands on the epilogue. Overall, this was a really great season.

When I watched this episode released on Netflix yesterday and saw how Iron Might's gear was being transformed, my thoughts immediately went to thinking "Mighty's gonna be lovin' thissssss a whole lot more". Then again, who wouldn't? Much like the entire series, this particular episode had so many symbolisms put together on the same plane, but different end of the spectrums. I always love BNHA for Horikoshi's writing and vision, accept each page as his way of storytelling and not for me to dictate. Bones Studio is like All Might to Horikoshi's Toshinori in making this entire universe come to life. How Bones have been cooking hard, more so for this season, going plus ultra every scene. This episode is so poetic in the sense that, the idea of "Take/taking" is so powerful. Where Iron Might takes from all of Class 1-A's powers as his inspiration with every element of his gears, AFO takes away other people's quirks and leave the victims deserted or killed. Just like All Might's maniacal laugh, makes Joker less demonic but also neutralises Dabi's laughter when he revealed himself to Endeavor light years ago. Good/Bad is only just a perception based on the context we understood at that point of time and that's why I love this anime/manga so much. The way it plays with this duality concept is so nuanced and masterfully crafted. That's the beauty of Horikoshi's writing from the beginning - LOV and Heroes are different sides to a same coin. The way Himiko Toga thought perhaps her quirk could have given life to others rather than sucking blood out of the other had she been brought up differently but in the end she chose to be who she is too is another powerful sentiment of we are influenced by our environment but ultimately, we too have the power to decide who we want to be. Ah, everything was just epic, this episode, last episode, this season, every season is a journey towards something more. One more season to go. One more movie yet to watch before the BNHA universe truly comes to an end and enjoying your delightful reaction and thoughts. Not sure if I'm ready for it but I'm excited to see how insane those broth has been simmering by Bones next year. Ok comment got a little longer than expected. Time to rewatch this episode!

IRON MIGHT!!!!! An amazing season finale filled with the emotional conclusion to Toga's story and the insane emotional filled display by All Might as he twists fate versus All For One. Thank you Studio Bones for an amazing season. To each and every individual responsible for making this possible, take a bow! This is undoubtedly one of the best seasons of the series in terms of content and production. Now we wait for the final season to see Horokoshi's beautiful manga conclude its anime.

AFO was really mostly a mastermind up until this point for a few reasons. -All Might is gone, and his arrogance and ego made him believe no one but him would be able to even be a nuisance to him. -His kindling with Shigaraki's hatred clouded his reason. Truth is, he's smart, but that's because of how utterly remorseless and emotionless he was, which let him stay with a mostly cold headed mind. The moment he lets himself go with emotions, he's far from any bettet than the average guy. He's someone that has only stood up atop of the world, and the moment that is even slightly challenged, he regresses back into the utter moron he never grew out of.

I do want to call something to attention, that I’ve thought about for an awhile. I honestly don’t think the movies for MHA affect it as much as people say they do. For example season 3, 4 and this current season all had movies alongside it and the animation and such for those seasons remained good and consistent throughout. Season 5 is a different case, but I don’t think it was the movie that affected it that badly (probably besides that movie being the reason they swapped arcs around for no reason). But I think it was really just Covid affecting everything and how they would produce that season that affected the animation quality and such. But then look at season 6. When it was announced that there would be no movie for it, everyone was saying how the animation was gonna be godly due to not having a movie alongside it. And while the animation was really good for the first 5-8 episodes. After episode 9, I noticed it looked inconsistent, flat and overall mediocre at times, then the animation kinda picked up more around the time the dark hero arc started. Now look at this season. From episode 1 through 21 of this season the animation has been really good and remained consistent throughout with some really great direction from the director of this season, even though there was a movie released alongside this season. Which brings it back to my point. Even though I think the movies do take some resources from the anime, I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as people try to make it seem like.

afo: all might all might: one shall stand, one shall fall afo:why throw away you life so recklessly all might: that a question you should ask yourself afo afo: no ill crush you with bear hands spoiler free: a fantastic chapter which covers ch 395- 398, god this episode was emotional and hype with the voice acting, animation and music were fantastic (it was great hearing all might theme again, it felt like old times) Toga vs ochako fight was good overall, there was alot twist and turns during there battle, i like ochako saved toga by showing her compassion that she never had from her parents and society as whole, plus toga repaying ochako kindness by saving a life which i think is a nice way to end off her (toga) story (My original thought thst ochako would kill toga since she too far gone but honestly this is better option) the volume 40 cover was of all might in his iron might amour, there also other stuff which i'll have to wait for seaso 8 to discuss my god the hype around all migh vs afo round 3 in the manga was insane at the time, it was truly a "you had to be there in the moment" im honestly glad all might is using a mech suit to take afo instead of being rewound by eri as i feel it would undo the impact of him scarfising the last ember of ofa to defeat afo during there second fight, not to metion it being very wholesome that he names the supermove after his students showing how much there bond as students and mentor have become. all might suits ranked (updated) 1. Silver age suit/ iron might suit 2. Young age suit 3. Goldern age suit 4. Prototype suit 5. Bronze age suit when the nana shimura flashback happened in the manga and the bombshell reveal of both nana and all might are orphan, we were speculating if afo had killed nana parents..

I watch MHA dubbed first and let me tell ya, it's just as incredible as the sub. The anime has always been amazing regardless of what the haters say, but this season was phenomenal. Every single fight gave me goosebumps even though I knew what was going to happen and the music was phenomenal. I was also curious where they would end the season bc the IronMight vs AFO fight goes so hard that theres really not a lull in it to end on, but they did well considering they ended the episode on a chapter ending. So, it doesn't feel too janky. Ending the episode in the middle of the fight like that also incentivizes people to come back. If it had ended on the Toga vs Uraraka fight and gave an anime exclusive ending scene like last season, I think a lot of people wouldve complained and called it boring. Plus, ending the season right as the intensity starts reminds me of what Mappa did with the AOT finale specials. I can't wait to watch the final season; it'll be a bittersweet time.

It's honestly hard to believe that we've only got 1 more season left. Once the anime ends, that will truly feel like the END end of MHA for me. Iron Might was done ABSOLUTE justice, Bones managed to end the season on a BANGER, though that cliffhanger is brutal, and I desperately want to see the rest of Ironmight vs AFO. On the bright side, at least that ensures that the rest of the fight will be given top notch quality! But anyway, that was a mighty superb reaction and season as a whole, see ya next time, until the final season 🥲

Yeah, I was kinda hoping they would have done a full hour, almost "feature-film" quality episode akin to the concluding episodes for various Demon Slayer arcs, and include the full fight. But as it stands, this was a solid episode. I remember playing All Might's theme playing in my mind when reading this in the manga, and I'm glad they remixed it here. I'm curious about how Christopher Sabot will voice this scene as well (and who they chose to voice young AFO.

Well, what a season that was. I will do a binge rewatch before 8 as I have done with each season. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the parts back to back for the flow of events. I’m curious to see how the ending is received next season. While Bones may add a couple of extra moments, I’m sure we’ll get a faithful adaptation. I wonder how many anime only watchers will come away with the awful and media illiterate “McDonalds” take that has been plaguing MHA online discourse since the manga ended.

@@Brendangatenby-mg2ix I didn’t say that people are illiterate for disliking it, it’s that so many fans jumped to shouting that Deku got cucked, or that he ended up as some huge loser when it just isn’t the case. I’m specifically referring to those who shared images of Deku working in fast food etc. That stuff is not only untrue but shows a clear and possibly wilful ignorance of who Deku was and what the story was about. However, if people don’t like it then of course they’re free to do so. But at least acknowledge what the ending is.
