I wanted to introduce SEIKO's famous machine, which is not well known in the world. After reading your comments, I'm glad I did my best to make the video. Thank you!

Toshiro Uochi the workmanship has always been the best. It’s just a matter of time that the world really understands the quality. It has already started to be noticed now. By the way, you didn’t mention 4402-8000 in the video. I love that piece. Is it right to say 44ks was the last low beat movement that seiko made? And also was it completely hand made?? From what i understand 45ks were the last handmade movements.

Do you often say that you are too good at praising? XD Thank you. I will do my best to make interesting videos. 44KS is one of the best. If I list my favorite old SEIKO watches, I will definitely want to include them :) As for the questions, in terms of a low-beat hand-wound watch, the 44 series is a movement of later years. However, I do not remember the year of manufacture of each model, so I will look for the material, check it, and then reply. And, Depending on the definition of handmade, both 44 and 45 are undoubtedly hand assembled. However, it is difficult to say that 45 is the last. The original quartz watch Astron was also a manual soldering work, and I think that the automation of the assembly has advanced since the late-1970s.

@The Short Film TV CO Although it is not an official document, it seems that the old SEIKO hand-wound and low-beat was manufactured by the name "Sportsman 17 calendar" until the end of the 1970s in Suwa Seikosha. There is also a model called "Disney Time" for children, which seems to be manufactured until around 1983 in Suwa. Limited to Daini Seikosha, 44KS is the last, you are right :)

Toshiro Uochi oh thank you very much, Toshiro for dipping up the information. I just bought the 4402-8000 from yahoo auctions today together with a KS buckle. If i could get the box and the strap, i’ll have the complete set hahaha. Can’t wait to receive it. Also planing to replace the caseback with the clear one. I want to admire the love movement and also save the medallion from getting worn off.
I'm planning to buy a 56KS. Thank you, this was very helpful! Auto-translated subtitles were very clear.

It's wonderful to own a 1st KS ! The current GS is manufactured by SII, the former Daini Seikosha. Not only the first model of KS, but also the ancestor of modern GS ;D

@HayBob GS is popular. It's expensive in Japan, and even more rare overseas. I hope you find a good one.

@Xiao Jun Ling, Thank you for having fun watching this video. If you have a chance, please love KS☺️
Nice video thank you for the information. I have a 45ks with the 7000 series case. I learned a lot from this video. In my opinion the 7000 case is a timeless design.

@kesh ronald, Thank you for watching this video. I was very happy with your comment. 45KS is great. The 45KS incorporates the technology and commitment of Daini Seikosha at the time. I fully agree with your opinion ;D

@@ToshiroUochi Thank you for the reply I really appreciate your extensive explanation and hard work to make this video. And also thank you for adding English captions. My favourite part of seikos in general is that they are fully in house made, reliable and very advanced. I also admire this brand as I inherited a seiko 5 from my grandfather. My seiko 5 and King seiko are both 50 years old and running great. This shows the quality of seiko. I will continue to support this channel.

kesh ronald, Thanks to your compliments, I am motivated to make the next video. Thank you so much for your support. Also, it's good that your grandfather used 45KS. My grandfather wasn't interested in watches, so I don't have a watch that shows a connection with my grandfather. Not only is it timeless, it's also priceless! :)
This video appears to be very interesting. Would you consider adding english subtitles in a near future?
@ToshiroUochi5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your interest to my video. I want to add ENGLISH subtitles to these videos, but I think it takes amount for time. I’ve already put on JAPANESE subtitles to Seiko Alpinist video. I’m trying to do on KING SEIKO video. It can take a few days, maybe. When it is over, could you have a try at automatic translation with the subtitles? Regards.

Thank you for clearing up a lot of misinformation, there isn't alot of info on King Seiko online. In your opinion, do you think the model with 'Chronometer officially certified' on dial is any way better or more valuable than other hibeat models?
@ToshiroUochi5 жыл бұрын
I’m happy you said so :D Umm... Your question is tough to answer. I presume there is no clear difference between those. There was price variance between officially and just Hi-beat, in early 1970s. For example, officially cetified chronometer models were ¥30,000. Conversely, others were ¥25,000. But I think the difference is from testing charge. I couldn’t find references in Japanese which point out differences in quarity.

@@ToshiroUochi I see, how about those with "Special" just above the hi-beat? I've seen this on one with the "Certified" label as well. Thank you for your reply!
@ToshiroUochi5 жыл бұрын
Out of King Seiko, only 52KS and 52KS Vanac have “special” on those dials. I guess SEIKO put “special” on 52KS to distinguish from earlier 56KS. The “Special” didn’t mean 52KS was better than 56KS. 52KS was equivalent to mid or high-price 56KS.
