I think Toshi-san is very brave to appear in front of a panel and talk about personal experiences.

"I lost more than a decade of my life and I can't get it back, but I can try to move forward with my life and be honest about these experiences" - I'm so glad he's out, but it's so sad. Those 12 years...fuck. But you can't change the past :( "Yoshiki is my closest friend" - this put a smile on my face. You can see them being so happy again while performing on stage and it makes me even more happy. :) There are more great ones near the end as well. Inspirational video!

1. I'm really happy that he got out and is doing well, I love you Toshi❤️ 2. I wouldn't say that this was an "amazing experience" it was a horrible experience, imagine being brainwashed, hearing that the band you started with your best friend, who is called "the leader of all evil", is disgusting and evil, being abused, sometimes for HOURS!! being cut off from family and friends, hearing you are evil and an egomaniac, giving all your money to your abuser so while they live a great life, you only get 500-600 yen (about 3-4 dollars) to live on, and much more.... Yeah, not an "great experience"

I love so much TOSHI -san 😍😙😗😘😁😀

1:16:50 - ToshI sets this kid who's not a fan, just some kid who read some translated X JAPAN lyrics on the internet, and thought they were "dark", straight, about how uplifting they actually are. As a promoter of X JAPAN's music in the U.S., through facebook.com/xjapanusa, I've read the words of so many fans, hundreds, maybe thousands of fans, talking about how X JAPAN's music and lyrics saved them from some hard or painful time in their lives, weather it was depression or suicide, death of a loved one, some personal insecurity or hurdle or struggle they needed to overcome, X JAPAN's lyrics, on the surface, look dark, as they are (not all songs, but many) an expression of YOSHIKI's personal pain through loosing his father to suicide, and then his dearest friend, X guitarist Hide. However, YOSHIKI is not a self-loathing, negative type of human who pulls people down. He is the opposite of that, and this is apparent if you actually listen (while reading the translation, if you like) to X JAPAN's music. He's the type of human who thinks that ANYTHING is possible. ANYTHING is achievable. YOSHIKI has said "You have to have confidence!" There is ALWAYS a bright light at the end of the tunnel in YOSHIKI's sad lyrics. Take for example, the ballad TEARS, which is about his father's suicide. The lyrics are extremely openly emotional and sad. This taps in (even to those who don't consider themselves emotional) something that we all share. Suffering. "Life is suffering", the first Noble Truth of Buddhism states. Every human being on earth has felt some sort of pain or suffering in their lifetime, and if they haven't yet, they will. This is just a truth of the world. This is life. But the entire refrain of the song (which is in English, which I think gives it extra impact to fans worldwide), and the thought it leaves you with, is "Dry your tears with Love." What could possibly be more beautiful and uplifting and hopeful that those five words? Dry your tears with Love. X JAPAN's music, has continued to reach fans across the world, despite being mostly in Japanese, despite the band not even being together for 10 years as their world fan base steadily increased with the bridge of the internet and more specifically, KZbin, which is how I discovered them only in 2012, fans from many countries around the world, find healing music in Yoshiki's words and music, and ToshI's voice. The "healing" music of "uplifting" artists like of the group ToshI was pulled into, can sometimes be deceiving. Those people say (as does all religious music for the most part) that the sound and lyrics must be uplifting, but sometimes the message is not actually uplifting, but restricting, or condemning. X JAPAN's music is about pain, passion, beauty, love, and most of all, hope. It taps in to the most real and most basic human emotions, and it never refuses to give up on hope, love, and light. Thank You X JAPAN and Thank You ToshIさん! WE ARE X.
