This is awesome, Tosin. Thanks so much for sharing. Love each of the points. I started with Genesis 1:1 with my 1 year old last September and he’s finally gotten it. I realized he says “Jesus is Lord” every night. I usually say this whenever I read my Bible and he already caught on that. He is almost 2 now and we just started Philippians 4:4- Rejoice in the Lord always. Helps when he’s moody or upset. Thanks again.

More parenting videos pls. I can relate to this. My daughter is also 3 and I have taught her only one scripture and that is Phil 4:13. I was elated the day she said it back to me because I used the word “cannot”. Thank you Tosin

Thank you so much for sharing this wisdom with us. I have a 2 yr old and I started introducing Faith songs to him since he was 1 and now we just hear him singing “I’ve got joy like a river…” and the other songs on his own. This is so real. Next is to introduce him to memorizing actual scripture. Thank you for putting this out there. May God replenish your wealth of wisdom❤

I’m not a mum yet but I have people to share this with. Thank you so much. One scripture I learned from an early age was “God did not give me a spirit of timidity but a spirit of love, joy and sound mind” even till today I recite it.

This is very timely, thank you for sharing. I started early with my children, I printed some scriptures and pasted it on their room wall, as they got older around 6&5, I printed the Lord’s Prayer and psalm 23 and pasted on their wall as well. Now they study their bible without reminder, they can pray and during fellowship they teach us on the word for the week. They are not 10yrs yet but I will say it is rewarding to teach your children about Christ early.

Thanks for this insightful video. I want to also add that for parents of younger toddlers, adding actions/gestures to some words in the scripture has really helped us e.g pointing to the sky when "Lord or God" is mentioned in the verse or showing muscles when the word "strong" appears. So if we are reciting some verses and they forget the words, the gestures often help my now 3 year old remember. I hope that makes sense. God help us all on this parenting journey.

The word of God is God. The efficacy of words is by the power that backs the word. True to God affirmations are great but Scriptures is way beyond great. As a mom of 2 boys under 2, this piece of information is timeless. Truly as parents we can’t give what we don’t have. The work starts with us. This is a call to go back to the secret place.
