And since Ciri and the fall of Cintra are both already in season 1 and they also already showed Brokilon in the trailers, i dont think we will get the "Edge of the World" storyline adapted... maybe they reference it as a nod to who read the books... but i think its just it

"That's not how it happened. Where's your newfound respect?" "Respect doesn't make history." Those two lines put this song in such a different light. This song was written to make history, so it told a tale that would make history. It's a tale that would make people respect Geralt more. It's the tale of a hero. And it's a lie. Because while the truth is a better story, and Geralt is by all accounts worthy of being considered a hero, the truth would never be accepted.

I am a big fans of Witcher games and play Gwent on daily basis. Given Netflix has much more miss than hits, I don't want to get broken heart for my beloved franchise, so i keep my hope low, expecting mediocre series at best for Witcher Nettflix... but wow, this series actually really really good, and this soundtrack is just crazy good.

Agreed. And I really respect the time and effort Cavill put into his Geralt, which is a sign of respect for the character and its fans.

@@tedbosquez19 Plua Henry is actually a huge The Witcher nerd and upon getting the role as Geralt he was so excited and geeked out hard about it. He knows Geralt as well as any other hardcord fan. Had already read the books and played the games before the Witcher series was even talked about.

Antony Karkov Witcher 3 is the game of the decade... no this century. This season will probably be the worst as it just set things up. If you read the books you know the best is yet to come. I can’t wait to see how they do Vilgafortz, Regis, Milva, Bonhart, and the rest. This is gonna be an amazing series

9/10 some things could have used better exposition/explanations. People who dont know the lore were pretty confused about certain things. (My friend watched all the episodes and I still had to explain after the fact what a witcher was. The show didn’t explain jack about the mutations, same thing with fire magic they didn’t explain why yennifer using it was such a big deal at the end.

There's a typo in the lyrics: "He can't be blead" is supposed to read "He can't be bleat". The beat->bleat juxtaposition is a pun relating to the referenced goat/devil (a bleat is the sound a baby goat makes), it's clearly a hard "t" in the pronunciation in the song here, bleat better rhymes with meat, and perhaps most importantly bleat is what is in the official subtitles in the show.

I was learning this song on guitar and along came COVID19. With all the initiatives from civilians around the world showing their appreciation for healthcare personnel on balconies, I've performed this song on mine (with an audience of one whole neighbor :)) with some changes to the lyrics: When a stumbled world Faced the tide alone Against virus of corona Along came this song From when the red cross fought A microscopic devil His army of germs Had reached a new level It came after us Masterfully concealed Broke down society Our fragile system revealed The front line gets compared To a war-zone, battlefield And so cried our doctors We cannot yield Toss a coin to your doctor O' They will need plenty O' They will need plenty, oh Toss a coin to your doctor O' They could use plenty In hospitals around the world Fighting in every ward The virus that can break you Or tear your family apart They trust in themselves Even with empty shelves To keep it contained If a distance we maintain To wipe out this pest They will try their best They're friends of humanity Consider yourself blessed It's on a global scale Will our champions prevail? Depends on you and me To take the wind out their sail Stay inside for your doctor O' Self isolation O' Self isolation, oh Wash your hands for your nurses Our friends of humanity Stay inside for your doctor O' Self isolation O' Self isolation, oh Wash your hands for your nurses And don't hoard the TeeeeeeeeeeeeeePeeeeeeeeeeeeeEeeeeeee If you're a musician feel free to use this and perform it on your balconies and on the off-chance someone rips this for a video or w/e all I ask is that you toss those coins along (i.e. donate it!) And also I want to say that even though this is a tribute to healthcare, I'm also thinking about all the other essentials workers (cleaning staff, supply-chain workers, grocery personnel, teachers) that are getting us through this crisis when performing it. Thank you for your service!
