Do you have more specifics about how does paying taxes benefit me? What does the king/queen do? Am I less likely to get attacked by other people because I have few inglots?

Hello! The king/queen uses the ingots to enable bonuses for the entire kingdom. And yes, you are less likely to be attacked if you keep your ingots low. People from outside the kingdom will target you if you have a lot of ingots. They'll attack you and take them back to their kingdom, so their king/queen can use them.
