🎨 Painting My First Necron Cryptek Wraith: Beginner's Guide 🌌
Welcome to my painting corner, fellow hobbyists! In this video, we're diving into the fascinating world of Warhammer 40k as I take on my very first painting project - a Canoptek Wraith, an enigmatic and formidable Necron construct.
Discover the Canoptek Wraith:
Before we begin the painting adventure, let's explore the lore behind this robotic marvel. The Canoptek Wraith, a sentinel of Necron Tomb Worlds, is a master of patrolling, inspecting, and even dealing with intruders. Its Phase Shifter, a Dimensional Destabilisation Matrix, allows it to phase in and out of reality, making it both a mechanic's dream and a trespasser's nightmare.
In this Tutorial:
We'll embark on this journey together, painting every step of the way. From the initial build to applying Citadel Paints, you'll watch as I navigate the colors and techniques needed to bring this Necron Cryptek Wraith to life. This tutorial is designed for beginners, so don't worry if you're new to the hobby - we'll learn and paint together!

Great job! I really like the blue you put on the sides of the gun. 17 more to go lol. I joined the hobby in February, and finishing all 18 was daunting and almost broke me.

Apparently these became really good (like the best) in the latest Necron codex. I really want two more to have a full unit.

I mix my Airbrushcolors in this cheap plastik shotglases. You can buy then cheap in packs of dozens and it make much less mess. And when you want that the brown looks a bit more "metally" (i hope i understand that right...) try to mix a drop of the silver in it. Or silveryblack looks very nice too.I personally like it to tint my silver for cool effects. A bit of the moot green in silver(or the brasscolor) for around the orbs maybe. Oooh, the snake is a very nice looking Dangernoodle. Is that a snake you can see regularly outside? We have snakes too here in Germany, but you need much luck to see one normally. And i like the "did you know" think. Its very informative. Oh and one trick comes to my mind... for basing. When you cut a sprue rough than it look a little bit like a ... what is the name of this iron constructionbars? You know what i mean. Ots a "nocost" variant to pretty up your bases.

I forgot to reply to this, yes shot glasses would be perfect, the container I was using was too large. Snakes here are pretty common, and some of the most deadly in the world. As well as Drop Bears (dangerous koalas) that are everywhere, like a Deathworld in 40k.
I expected to hate this approach, but...
