Total By Verizon Prepaid Home Internet For $55/Month

Total By Verizon, one of Verizon's prepaid subsidiaries, introduced a Home Internet option similar to Verizon's Home Internet service but with prepaid, no-contract terms.
The service includes unlimited high-speed data for $55/month standalone with autopay or $45/month with a voice line and autopay. The service promises speeds of up to 200Mbps with no data caps. Like other home internet services, you must use a 5G Gateway device from Total By Verizon. Total only offers a single 5G Gateway, which must be purchased separately for $99.99 online or at a store.
Like other home internet services, the terms of service do not support mobile use, and customers must have an approved address in an available area to qualify for the service. Since this is a new service, it is unclear whether there will be any mobile or location use enforcement.

I left the US for almost 20 years. I thought there'd be cheap unlimited data (no soft or hard throttles) for everyone, but naaah.... I can't believe this is so hard to do, especially 20+ years later! I appreciate the channel!

You have to understand the The US operates under a lobbied government which in turn creates the one and only and the few and the proud where it appears there is competition. If this internet like others with T Mobile were aloud to be wild and free to their full potential, they would destroy a portion of the tech sector thus a monopoly could be born. There is a common saying "share the wealth". That is the reason why the full potential of any product is limited to some degree... So that others can surface and make their money rather if they were an All American company, which the LLC holdings are usually foreign anyway, or straight up directly foreign owned.

Okay now Verizon also owns straight talk and provide straight talk 5G home internet which is capped at 100 mbps download and 1080p video streaming. I read on this one that the download is up to 200 Mbps I don't know if this is true or not.

This you can't get it because of your address mess is crazy. This is why i say this because at old address its still saying " Be the first to know when we bring service to your area." That was years ago and it's saying the same thing

I've had Verizon home internet for 8 months now. They said it wasn't available in my area, but I got it anyway. Wow, I was amazed! The average speed is 350 Mbps down and 45 Mbps up. My son plays games on it, like WoW and CoD, with no lag. It's like a little box in my window. Thanks, Verizon!

@Wario_Brother ya, I went to the Verizon store and asked for the internet they are offering. They said it's not available in your zip code or area. I said that's okay, I want it anyway. They kept insisting that it wouldn't work, but I said fine, send it to me, and they did. I checked my cellphone internet speed at every window and placed the little cube in the best signal area. It took about 10 minutes to connect. Note that it's not 5G, it's 4G, and that's fine. I get 300 to 350 up every day. My son plays a lot of first-person shooter games like warfare, and at 15 or less jitters.

It sounds great, and I'd get it if I could. But one of their local stores told me years ago that they had no 5g poles in my city, even though their maps said they did, and nothing ever changes. As far as I can tell, they're only interested in selling new phones and phone plans, not improving service.

If you have phonw service with them, no matter what tier, your internet is 45 with auto pay.
