I hate it how Sugar treats Ella like a lump of dirt, it's because she's jealous of Ella, Ella has everything that Sugar's wanted, like Beauty, Sweet Voice and Great Singing. She's always wanted all of that but she's never got it, so every time that Sugar sees Ella it reminds her of her wanted self, the self she wants to be, but she can't, so she just puts all her anger out all over Ella, poor Ella

A lot of these characters just felt very one note like Beardo, Leonard, Rodney and Ella. In other seasons the characters were based around personality traits, in this season it was more based around gimmicks.

Idk why, but I really like Rodney. When he isn’t focused on love, he’s kind, calm, somewhat soft spoken, and seems like a cool guy. Same with Beardo, just replace love with sound effects.

You have a point, but the reason the answer wasn't counted wrong aside from the obvious fact of Sammy being Amy is that Amy really does hate herself. We can see she's very insecure with herself and constantly needs reassurance from others as well as reminding Sammy of how "disgusting" and "worthless" she is to build up her own self confidence. She takes her resentment of herself and pushes it onto Sammy so she can feel as miserable as she does.
