remember guys, you have 3 units not 1, you can use all 3 individually and attack from different sides, or different targets, and force several enemy archers into melee instead of getting shot from the sides;)

watching ross set all of his units to attack one so that they bunch up really close and get fucked up by arrows is so painful to watch. Also when Trott sets his archers to attack the units ross is fighting and all the arrows just kill ross's units is also just as painful

A few points, just in case you continue the series. Hoplites are really REALLY dangerous, if they get set up in a wall you HAVE to pull out, and try to flank them. Going face to face with the formation will lead to you losing all your units. Archers are really dangerous to each other and units that are facing away from them, javelins are very short ranged units that are EXTREMELY dangerous to everything, but very short range. Swordsmen are a good generic unit, good against everything. Cavalry are real good on the charge, and really good at scouting, but not very good in a prolonged engagement. There are a few exceptions but in general try to use the cavalry for the charge and try to break units.

James B Total War fans would agree. Micromanaging to the max and this game hasn’t got it. But it looks entertaining. Like quick matches you still have that strategy and large scale battles.

This game is actually very good as a long time total war fan who has played EVERy single edition except Shogun 1. The game lets you focus on the complex battle mechanics and counters etc... It gets much better and competitive on higher tiers

Clumsy Turtle8 S.O.E. didn't die, they just got turned into daybreak games. Soe hasn't been a thing since 2015, and the game (planetside 2) is still going as far as I know.
