Total War : Attila-Multiplayer tactics-Sassanid Empire vs Jutes (Mx6) : Countering early harassment!

in this battle we , which was played under the Mx6 rule : having maximum 6 mounted units and this includes the general unit as well, we see the famous tactic of early cavalry harassment. due to the big advantage of the Nordic factions in the melee, and their inferiority in the ranged combat, it is wise for them to harass the front lines of the enemy, trying to stop the enemy's dangerous ranged units and paving a safe passage for the axe units to attack and ultimately win the battle. in such scenarios you should be ready to counter this effectively, having better cavs allows the Sasa forces to pin the harassers on flanks and either cause serious damage on them or completely wipe them out , the key is to know which units should be targeted with the ranged units and when to allow the combat to happen either with the goal of sacrificing a unit, or to actually win the combat and when to run away.
summing the battle up :
1- early front line harassment happens when you want chaos and disorder against a faction which has superiority in ranged combat. the way to deal with it , is to keep the order and have solid flanks.
2- the Juti army here , tried the idea of avoiding the combat with 30% of the army for a long time, however doing so when you are the sidee which is better in the melee, is a strategical mistake.
3- zonal control, having enough number of units in the zones of conflict to keep the balance is the key in winning high level battles. low quality units show their value with it comes to pinning enemy down for a period of time or using as bait or bodyguards for the VIP units.

I think that cav rush 10:15 was a turning point. If this cav rush was a failure (fire arrows on cataphracts was bad idea), Jutes would have won. Do you have Rome 2?

Yes. we could finish off the cavalry battle here in that moment, while the enemy was concentrating on the melee on the other flank. the Nordic bow units in this battle , helped us , by being completely inactive for the majority of the battle, and then forcing their friends to route quickly.
