The original four legions used by Caesar in Gaul were his personal favorite the Legio X Equestris, Legio IX Hispania, Legio VIII Augusta and finally Legio XII Claudia. Later legions were raised and levied some of these are XI Claudia, XII Fulminatia/Antiqua, XIII Gemina, I cannot remember exactly what and when Legio V Alaudae entered the war it was levied in Gaul and was later used at the battle of Pharsalus against Pompey.

I've seen some inaccuracies . I saw the legion number at the start of the video and it said legio 1 well he didn't have that legion under his command when he entered gual accually Pompie the great did and I never heard of the Helvetti having a city in gual but they did migrate with 270,000 people and the army had around 60 to 70,000 men in it. But I did see that they changed the roman fort which is good.

the romans were allways more fighters than the gauls exept alesia. the gauls couldnt transport food for his armis like romans. the max fighting power of gauls 20.000-30.000 every bigger army will lose his strengh and break appart like the belgium army in book 3 with nearly 200.000 soldiers (hahah) the romans had themax fighting power of 80.000 in one army in one region for long time.

The Gallic tribes had never a military supply of the troops proved by administration that were well organized unique in Rome. Even the Greeks had a significantly poorer organization of supply of their troops to our tradition. In addition, there is in southern Gaul (which was early Roman) proved in recent years, a strong influence of the Roman economy in Gaul before Ceasars conquests. Especially in the wine trade, which proved amphorae. From the organization of the Gauls, we only know for sure this which the Romans tell us and what we usually find in wood still.

1:30 - Is that supposed to be Mark Antony and Cleopatra? Already, CA is fucking it up. 18:10 - Yeah, I'm sure they would rout a lot quicker if they're mercenaries. There's a reason why romans legions were the first to be over the walls, not auxilarries. Not cause mercenaries are cowards - but because they don't get paid to die. Romans on the other hand, are super disciplined, have a collectivist obsession with glory for the sake of the city state of rome, etc.

CA's really got to change the replenishment system right now. It's just too easy and convenient. Although I would prefer to see a system more like Rome 1's and Medieval's, even one like Napoleon's would suffice.

Have any of you guys beaten caesar in gaul on very hard. I have already beaten the regular campaign on hard and thought, to challenge myself, I would up the difficulty but it seems to be impossible. All the tribes gang up on you. You don't have enough money, in the beginning, to support mass armies of legionaries but if you don't have legionaries than you basically have the same troops as the gauls do with auxilaries and when you are outnumbered 3 to 1 in battle you are already doomed. Please give some advice.

You'll hear very mixed things about it and rightly so. Rome 2 had a bad launch there's no denying it... However with a lot of patching 8 so far the game is better. It's still not perfect by any means. The AI and performance needs more work before I'll be truly happy with it. However if you can pick it up on sale or even if not I am personally enjoying Rome 2 a lot ATM. It's a rough diamond some might say. Needs cleaning up, some fixing and polish to make it shine. But it's worth it I think. I'm sure some will disagree though but hey I love TW games anyway even the ones with bad launches.

***** try deleting them (and unsubscribing) completely as even unticking can still keep the issue. I used GEM but had to manually find the right files to delete and it fixed it for me
