CA actually said that they're not going to make Swarms of any kind. But I imagine there are a few ways to implement them, specyficly The Jungle Swarm - Imagine having a horde of small hound-based models that represent diffrent reptiles with diffrent bodyparts - and they serve the role of a defensive hound unit which deals poison damage as well as has poisonous charge defence that means that any unit that charges into them will get some damage and poison on itself as well. It will put the Swarms on the Meta map as an atlernative to the Hound archetype inside of the cheap low tier units to support trash horde armies like goblins or skins the players use in defensive armies. I also would see the Jungle Swarm come with a Snake Variant which is an ubgraded version of the normal swarm that has even greater defensive bonuses from tough terrain [the swarm creatures hide in the ground deformities], has no movement penalties and it's blessed version has even fire attack due to some snakes spitting acid which would translate to fire. And as Swarms would count as Infantry as well gain bonuses to beasts - they would be perfect for armies of beasts with lots of skin infantry and skink tamers as well as underdeveloped main line.

Skink Oracles are going to be the new Lord type for the Prophet of Sotek Lord pack, that way you can field a full Skink Army with a Skink Lord.

i have a small bit of hope for the Dread Saurian, i mean we got Fimir, Skinwolves and War Mammoths, all units from Forgeworld. Additionally if we ever hope of getting Chaos Dwarfs, the entire army roster is from Forgeworld.

I know they're not like this in the table top game but it would be cool if the Doom-Flayer became similar to the Night Goblin Fanatics. A certain unit would simply release them one at a time wildly into oncoming enemies and they could streak around destroying stuff until the whole thing just sort of falls apart in a hail of shrapnel.

Actually Poison Wind Mortars are the combined work of Clan Skryre and Clan Pestilens. The ones firing them are actually Plague Priests, since Skryre Warlock Engineers will die from touching them since they are that poisonous.

Verminlords should work similar to Slann Mage Priests, it takes a Rite to bring one up. And in the End Times, they become a Lord unit. So they can do the same for Total War Warhammer 2. Because wasting 25 turns to recruit a monster its ridiculous, but wasting 25 turns to summon a unique Lord type its worth it. Now to make it even more special, if he dies, that's it. He won't get wounded and respawn, he goes back to the Realm of the Horned Rat meaning you lose him forever. And the next one you summon is not going to be the same.

Would love to see the giant rats to be a counter vs cav to hold them down but still chew em up. Perhaps put the special rule there. Ad a globadier unit with it and make it an anti cav force like in Mark of Chaos.

I am currently working on a mod that adds more Skaven units. While I am incredibly new to modding, I think I am doing decently well. Currently the Rat Swarm, Giant rats, Verminlord, Rattling gunners & Poison Wind Mortars have been added. (Not balanced yet since I need other people to test as well :p) (If anyone wants it just search up Skaven unit pack (wip) in the steam workshop)

hmmm. their modelers and animators will have a hard time making the 2-rat jezzail team not look awkward. they may reduce it to just the riflerats and leave the shield holders out. they will probably be tempted to reinterpret the ratling gun as something like an organ gun artillery unit, and also tempted to make the poison wind mortars a more conventional artillery unit as well, for simplicity's sake. ah, and no mention of stormfiends, but theyre basically just borged up ratogres so not a big oversight.

I don’t think we’ll get the Archmage or Anointed as a Lord Choice. I think it’s more likely we’ll get the Dragon Mage ranked up to a Lord pick similar to what happened to the Loremaster in the Opposite direction.

I know this is a bit of an old comment, but in the game, how would Sisters of Slaughter differ from Witch Elves? I mean they'll lack the toxin, probably have a higher charge bonus, and better melee defense, but they seem too similar to witch elves to be considered. I really want them in, though, I just love the idea of them bounding into a regiment of soldiers. If they implement the buff where they get stronger facing stronger foes, that could be cool but would also need to be really balanced to keep them from being OP.

I really hope we don't have the Wolf Rats put in, outside of a RoR version or the Giant Rats. Besides them filling such a similar role to Giant Rats, I think it would open up the door for a real lack of creativity. We don't want to start getting Wolf Lizards, Ogre Wolves, Wolf Demigriffs, Wolf Dragons, etc. Nobody wants the same unit inserted into all the armies through the magic of reskins.

Stormfiends are an end time unit and I think CA will avoid all that or maybe do one big End Times DLC at the end of the trilogy

Unfortunately storm fiends have the stigma of being an end times unit so hopefully it will appear in the third game as they may do an end times thing there but I doubt they will get in before then.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really see the Everqueen as a legendary lord in Warhammer Total War. She would likely start in Avalorn which doesn't really have anywhere to go except through other High Elf factions. She would certainly be an interesting character, but what does she bring to Warhammer total war as a faction? I actually think Alith Anar and his "hatred-of-dark-elves" focused backstory is a far more likely DLC character, bringing shadow warriors and other new High Elf units to the game.
