Also need to mention that the Cold Blooded special rule has been adapted into TW Warhammer 2 as a single target heal ability for characters like Kroq-Gar, that can be targeted on any Lizardmen unit. According to TW Forums, it will heal units but lower their defensive stats during the healing process, so best used when units are out of combat

The revivification crystal has an active ability that can be targetted on a single unit and heal+resurrect it. It's not a passive AoE.

Wouldn't cold blooded work better as a rule that prevents morale "Shock", so you never get instant routed by a charge and instead lose the morale over time? Represents the Cold Blooded rule better than a cookie cutter heal spell.

The Rampage mechanic does not make a rampaging unit attack the nearest unit, it makes them attack the nearest *enemy* unit. That is what they said in the livestream, so unless they are misinformed, Lizardmen units can't do friendly fire through rampaging. They will attack the nearest enemy.

This mechanic (called Berserk) actually already exists in the game, it's just not attached (I think) to any unit. Steel and Faith gives it to couple of units like Spawn and Forsaken and the way it works is you lose control of a unit completely and it just charges random enemies. Usually this ends up with them chasing fleeing enemies forever though. Whether it's the same thing or they'll adjust this for TWW2 we'll have to see.

Though I must say the Krocxigors look like Feraligators who've had too many rare candies. Also Considering GamesWorkshop signed off on the Revivification Bastiladon it technically is now Canon....

I think pestilens will be the base skaven faction so we will actually start with all those units. All the other clan unique units will actually be dlc

mr chef I highly doubt it. That would leave out well over half the Skaven roster, including some of their most iconic units, and adding it all in one DLC would be outrageous.

I mean I think they will have the majority of the roster. Just some of the other really iconic stuff from moulder,eshin and skryre since they wont be present in the new world. But they can add them as dlc for the mega map. 6 or so units. Im thinking there going to have a high upkeep on units that clans dont represent like with the fey enchantress has high upkeeps on knights. Like Pestilens will probably have a high upkeep on doomwheels or something. Ether way Im pretty sure Pestilens is going to be the star of the show here. If any units get left out for dlc Im pretty sure they will belong to skryre or moulder.

I was hoping we would see some legendary heroes in the roster. It is a relatively easy addition to the sequel fans have been asking for. The lizardmen heroes are especially easy, unlike characters like krell. Most are just base models with recolouring and resizing (Nakai and Gor-rok) and/or a slightly unique helmet or weapon (chakax, tiktakto) and slight buffs. I guess there still might be some hope we will see these awesome characters eventually.

Despite his stupid name basically sounding like Naughts and Crosses I've been wanting Tiktakto too, and Gor-Rok is my bae, always used to have him as my General in small-point value battles. Titto'ekko I believe we will be seeing as the greatest Skink Priest with his ability to predict the future would be a really interesting mechanic, although rather than being able to redeploy some of your units after you've seen your opponents deployment it'd probably just give him the Vanguard thing like Vlad has.

except its not that easy. You say all that is needed is a simple reskin but you forget that they had to also create new abilities, new items, new campaign location/mechanic as well as a character tree for said campaign. If CA did like you said, the community would go in an uproar and call out laziness or foul play....

i would like for them to add the salamander from the get go, the others are definitely more of an addition to the roster that fit the prophet theme, but they are not necessarily missing since you have similar options in the roster already. The salamanders on the other hand, besides being an iconic lizardmen unit, have no similar representation in the roster at all and would probably make for a key tactical unit in a lot of armies because of the range pressure they provide, really hope they make it, even if the razordons will be dlc or not come at all, they are just to important to miss out on imo.

I am figuring that the Arc of Sotek could be implemented in the way that the Arachnarok Queen functions, being able to spawn her "Spiderlings". I really think they will add it with Tehenhuain as jungle swarms played a pretty massive role in the his eventual victory over the Skaven.

The Revivification crystal sounded like a different sort of solar engine to me, i.e. a magical contraption that harnesses solar energy (which lizards of course rely on as cold-blooded creatures) and uses it to heal rather than burn. It is in no way a stretch out of the lore. Yes their description of spawning pools was convoluted but I think they were just trying to clarify that Lizardmen have a different sort of physiology than most other races. Thus far none of the Lizardmen roster breaks from the lore, I'm looking forward to it all :)

Talking about tge rampage mechanic Ca says: they don't attack your units they attack only the enemy units and do more damage too but you can't control them

9:00 - Someone prbbly already mentioned, but I'll repeat then, They mentioned three versions of bastilladons. One with the crystal as artillery, one plain, and one "revivification" bastilladon. That one REPLENISHES units by adding newly spawned lizards to it, it doesn't heal wounds. Just had to add that bit :) PS: As a tabletop wh player, I don't rly mind too much about this being the case. I'm fine with it. It's balancing, and IMO, they've justified it enough.

I feel that the pseudo-necromancy is obviously the issue and that it's kinda silly that they didn't just go for a non-revival healing like we have in life magic. Which obviously suffers very little from its comparison to Invocation of Nehek in overall power. Just seems like a silly can of worms to crack open when a more obvious answer is right next to it. Unless they're taking additional liberties to not-grey goo spawning pools in the campaign and shit, which might explain it better. Feral units and rampage are an interesting addition I don't mind at face value but the deeper you look I feel like they may exacerbate certain issues with armybuilding in TWW. First, in battlefield function for the faster creatures: With the meta generally presenting battles which consist of two brawls, the frontline infantry brawl and the backline cav/monster blob brawl. Rampage may become meaningless here, as you don't really care about what happens to your flanking contingent in a lot of matchups, providing they can cost-effectively trade themselves for demi-gryphs with halberds or Blood Knights etc. Secondly is the ever discussed unit limits. Both the TT's core/special/rare ratios, or the simple M2TW system of overpricing too many duplicates would alleviate the possibility of shit like One Slann, 6 feral Carnosaur armies that might be a bit stupid. That said I don't feel that either unit limit model is really necessary in a TW game, as long as balance directs army building along interesting routes; but the idea of a full feral army pushes my suspension of disbelief a little bit. The issue isn't as glaring in singleplayer as to warrant something like the peasant limit with Bretonnia(which was quite well done IMO), but on the battlefield I feel that an interesting route CA could go would be to somehow have multiple feral units interact with one another. What immediately comes to mind is perhaps an aoe leadership debuff on feral units that are near other feral units, incrementally increasing based on just how many(and probably deactivating once in melee combat). Designed with the goal of allowing massed fire on one target quickly and reliably rampaging it, hopefully tying up a second unit. Would allow for a small consideration to make during army deployment in certain matchups and depending on the exact numbers it could serve as a very effective hard counter if after all cost-effectiveness is calculated it turns out that full feral is the most meta Lizardmen build. Feral units don't really bother me as I think they fit comfortably in the fluff, and none of the exclusions really bother me except the Engine of the Gods(like most people I'd imagine). The Skink and the Stink™ lord pack is a sensible excuse to hold off on it though. Finally I find myself considering the question of whether jungle swarms will eventually be included or not an interesting one, as whether or not CA will bother with them will also likely have ramifications for both the rat swarm and the tomb spawn(and with the inclusion of the Southlands it's pretty obvious they'll be one of the DLC factions in the second game's cycle).

Yeah I mean I'll need to see it in action first and get a bit more information at least, but I think you're right, "life" magic does make more sense with the Saurus then fully replacing units out of thin air. We shall see. I do think Jungle Swarm will make it in as they are so much a part of the Prophet of Sotek and would fit perfectly in his DLC. Good post, thanks for that

Nice video. From what I could tell there is no indication rampage will have the ability to cause friendly fire. I think once triggered the unit will charge straight to the nearest enemy unit. That being said I can't be 100% sure.

Personally I think the bastilodon with the revification cyrstal is great, as most people know Lizardmen have a lot of old one technolgy. You can easily say that the Slann have finaly decide to use some of thier advanced technolgy.

I honestly feel like they are biding their time to put all of the factions and then will put out a "Swarm DLC" Desert, Bat, Jungle, (Ark Of Sotec), Rat. It kinda makes sense in my opinion

My headcanon is that the power of a slann that can use all types of magic could maybe be channeled through a unit or crystal. Their spawning pool argument was lame lore wise.

Not gonna lie, I like Indypride's lore reasoning far more than the necromancy/spawning pool one. . . The spawning pool one on this extremely limited race makes them far more.. Zerg like? Rather than every lizard precious?

Well the spawning pools in Lizardmen temple cities do spawn many, many, many Saurus and Skinks. Thats why they're able to have so many gigantic fights over the millenia and always come back strong. But yeah I feel you, effectively giving Lizardmen necromancy is an interesting design decision. We shall have to see how it plays out

The revive crystal is fine, though the reasoning is convoluted. All you need is "those space frogs with super magic and super magic items have a super magic bunch of crystals that heal things well".

I don't think the Revivification Crystal is too far off in fluff, nor the rampage mechanic. But I am still trying to swallow the model re-designs! Slann with thick legs has a very different aesthetic.

talking about the rampage mechanic... I have not heard CA say that if a unit rampages that they will attack friendly unit. I understood it as a rampaging unit would simply chase the nearest enemy? is this not right?

You didn't mention the fact that in the lore horned ones are mount for skins, not saurus ! It's skins in southland that use them, they are a lot more intelligent than cold ones (not hard) and they are mounted if I remember well by skins "tupac" (tupac is in the french army book I don't know the name in english sorry). So seeing them mounted by kroq gar and by saurus, with a strong tendency to rampage is f***ing lore unfriendly and in addition it would have been nice to see mounted skins. Great video as always.

The problem is that the Horned ones have been handled differently in every edition. In 6th edition they were a special mounted unit with Skinks as riders in the Southlands army. In later editions the Horned Ones were not playable, but mentioned in the books. And in the later editions it is said that they are a rare breed of Cold Ones found in the deepest jungles in Lustria that only the most skilled and fated Lizardmen can hope to tame and mount.

Kopesh88 Yep I based my comment on 6th edition. Still saurus already have cold one, I would rather see horned one for skins heroes and as a skins cav. And also they are supposed to be intelligent (and vicious) so going rampage quicker than the stupid cold ones... not a big fan of this idea.

The special Skink character riding a Horned One is Tichi-Huichi in English. Leader of a group of mercenary skink cold one riders trying to get Old One relics back (and don't care about anything else). I've still got his model, it's neat.

Well also, Kroq Gar could never ride one since he doesn't have the skin for it. Lizardmen that could ride cold ones were born for it.

Great Video I agree with salamanders. fire needs to be reworked before they come in. I can't wait to smash some chaos with lizardmen. and I'm pretty sure CA said the Southlands are in this expansion so isn't there a jungle and old temple there? with only skinks? because that might be the location for the DLC Lord and skinks

I like the feral choice. In general I think lore is good, but a good game is better. having access to a version of these units before I get a couple teir 5 cities appeals to me.

When you say obscene armor values, what armor are we thinking here? Ironbreaker level? Siege tank? I feel like lore wise these units would be insanely good at anything except being flanked and killed by large armor piercing units or trollhamner torps, but I get the feeling they'll be severely underpowered in game so that they don't outshine Giants (although elves will probably be getting dragons and hydras, so maybe they can up the ante)

Are they including that Lizardmen use 3d6 and take the lowest for leadership tests? Wondering about skinks getting poisoned weapons, skink + crox unit, and even how high magic will work. Last bit of lore, I read, was that high magic was the most powerful of all magic, and to the slann, they could wield it better than any race.

I don't really care about the healing bastilidon as I don't really know the lizard men ( I played high elves before aos) and because it helps the race in game and although the lore is very interesting it's not worth ruining the game balancing over

I think the newer kroxigor models are much similar to the Total War Warhammer models than you think. it's the old 6th edition models that look more like dinosaur heads

I'm not a huge Lizardmen expert, but I do think: -Horned ones with skinks should make it into the game (and while I'm asking, remove saurus riding them). -The revification crystal is fine with me as long as it doesn't make the Lizardmen play/be balanced differently otherwise. -SImilarly I have no issue with feral units.. *except* for saurus having feral. Krox? Yeah, I can get that, but not saurus. Fix that, CA. Um. Please?

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, there are no Feral Saurus. They can rampage at a certain point, but they arent considered feral. The lower tier Saurus just get overcome with rage and bloodlust. Armybook does call Saurus Warriors "disciplined" but I dont think its such a jump to think that they sometimes lose a bit of control in the fray

Oh, then I probably misunderstood.. or didn't listen well enough. :oP Still, they are literally bred for war, designed by the Old Ones - it just seems odd to me they would lose control where Flagellants don't (for example). But that's just me.

Flame units need to be reworked to shoot like a short ranged arrow too I think, their line of sight gets blocked way too easy imo.

Eh, personally I hated it. It may have originally been from Forge World but it still follows Games Workshops trend of "Hey, so what's the current biggest, best unit on this roster? Carnosaur, eh? Well let's make a bigger, better, more expensive version and give it a stupid name = profit" Suddenly! Mutalith Vortex Beast! Dread Saurian! Flamespyre and Frostspyre Phoenixes bigger than fucking Star Dragons! Just let the centrepieces be centrepieces GW :'(

Thunder Lizards are on a whole different level, they are city killers and thus could never be realistically fielded on the tabletop or in Total War (except as a campaign event maybe) because, well, it is on such a scale that it wouldn't be able to move on the battlefield. It'd be like Chaos fielding Kholek's daddy, Krakanrok; just wouldn't fit.

I wouldn't protest it being added, but I wasn't really a fan of the Dread Saurian. Body wise I think it looked more like a rat than a dinosaur-I'm half-convinced they retooled something that was supposed to be Skaven.

the troglodon aint coming until the Prophet of Sotek DLC. Since they have a unique rider. The Skink Oracle will become the Skink Lord for the Prophet of Sotek DLC.

They really cleaned up the big dinosaur models. The miniatures, especially their plating look weird in comparison.

It sounds so different. In your Version on this clip i can here the sound of Nativ Americans who say something like "whoooo" and you can here somthing like a flute :( In the track that you asnwered i heared nothing of this :( Or i didnt find it in the lip itself. Revification Crysta: fun idea for the game but I hate it can resurrect dead trups. At the best it has to work like the magic 'earth blood' and just heal the units Cold Blood Healing: not sure it is a lore friendly thing. I am really scared they are using too much the immagination and too little the books of lore...

At the 10:00 mark, with the revivification crystal. I mean, Mazdamundi can create mountain ranges and kill entire armies single-handedly. I wouldn't be surprised if he could infuse some magic into a crystal to make it heal wounds. Seems to be completely within the realm of possibility

In the realm of possibility, sure. But bringing units back from the dead is Necromancy, no other lore of magic besides Lore of Vampires can do that. Should Lizardmen be able to bring units back from the dead? Its certainly worthy of discussion

I thought you could just bypass that with semantics tbh, something like "Oh, they're not literally reviving the dead. He's just using healing powers to put life and spirit back into their hearts and heal all their wounds, and his other magical powers to extract their souls from the afterlife, which are then infused back into the "corpse" by the crystal" Is it accurate with the lore? Not really. But it's completely consistent with other feats of magic Mazdamundi has done. It's a bit like having Nagash consume the souls of other beings. Not consistent with the lore, but totally sounds like something he'd do.

Yeah I mean I can headcanon it without issue, there will just be some lore purists who dont like it as much. I dont really have a problem with it, although I do think its interesting CA is giving the Lizardmen faction a focus on healing. Cold Blooded special rule will also heal units when characters use that ability on allies in TW Warhammer 2

And in CA's defense, if we were to be completely faithful to the lore, then balance would just go out the window. Lore accurate Total War: You start off with Mazdamundi. You never need to recruit any troops because he can just kill everything he wants to. GG. Maybe it's because I'm not super into the lore, but I really like that they're focusing on making things balanced and fun, and not just a copy paste of the rulebooks.

If I understood them correctly, the Revivification Crystal won't really revive the fallen Lizardmen, but rather spaw new ones out of this "mobile spawningpool". But since I'm not very familiar with Lizardmen-Lore, I can't tell if this explaination would work better with their Lore...

Explaining the Revivification Crystal as spawning Lizardmen to replenish units in battle is a really iffy explanation. A "mobile spawning pool" is really strange idea if you look at the lore. However, if the Revivification Crystal functions as a very powerful healing device that can heal even the worst wounds, then it is not a big problem from a lore standpoint. There is this idea that as reptiles, the Lizardmen can heal wounds very well and even regrow limbs. The Revivification Crystal might super-charge the natural healing ability of the Lizardmen. This healing ability of the Lizardmen is made up by CA, and is implemented as the Cold-blooded Healing ability in the game. This ability did not exist in the lore or the tabletop game previously, but Games Workshop gave CA their permission to add it.

after the end of game III they will continue to add units , maps ecc ? or no ? (like more mod tools) another thing, the lizardmens don t have great monsters with size like treemens, giants, arachnarok spiders ecc. ... right ? the dread saurian seems to be the only unit so big in battle for them.

MecH Omega they will probably add them in the III game. They are too cool to be left. (Also the 3 , is more on chaos and the chaos gods, so probably other stuff for the beastmens / warriors of chaos ) Also the last faction/dlc of all, can be. .. malal & kaleb daark. It s suppose to be real chaos , no ? -even chaos mammoths , they are similar to the arachnarok spiders-

(We already know how some of the demons are made or how they might be done) 1d4chan.org It would be a beautiful faction to fight extremely unpredictable and with constantly unexpected faces. But maybe is just a bad idea. If GW have replace is name in many ways both in wh and wh40k , there is probably a good reason. You mentioned that Temple guard can't go feral, does that mean other *infantry* can go feral? I kinda like the feral mechanic with giants beasts but feral Saurus Warriors and skinks fucks my head cannon beyond repair. Also I'm a little sad there won't be chameleon skinks on launch, they're the cutest!

Mr Sniffles Dude...They are Chameleon Skinks at the start. All monsters mounted by skinks can't go on a rampage. Saurus and Cold Ones are extremly difficult to rampage.

Saurus Warriors can rampage, but it is far less likely / it needs far more damage for them to lose control. Skinks can't rampage. Also chameleon skinks are in the starting roster :)

a few thots: I like the idea of The feral mechanic and it makes sense. I do still hope for some sort of more micro friendly light cav probably skink orented at some point. the revivificayion crystal in unit terms is awesome. a corpse cart that also makes new corpses. in lore it makes no sense I wish they'd reword it. spewing pools as I'm sure you know don't work like that they're unknowable and uncontrolled by the lizard men themselves. they also cannot be recreated. so where did this crystal come from?

The rampage mechanic feels like a straight-up "nerf". Are the units with rampage stronger in some way than their approximate counterparts in other races?

from what I understand it seems to be like the opposite of routing, instead of routing they attack the closest enemy unit. I don't know if they get a stat boost when they rampage though, I won't be surprised if it's like frenzy, but activates at low health instead.

So back when beastmen were released we had a conversation on weather or not the gorgon or jabber should have been in the roster. I personally felt it was fine because they were not Iconic beastmen units IMO. You then asked how I would have felt if stegadons or temple guard were not in the lizardmen roster. I said that those units would not be removed because they were actually iconic to the faction. Now my only issues with this is what they added. Feral units have only ever been part of storm of magic in witch case all factions should have access to feral versions of every monster in the game. So no it is not lore friendly unless you don't limit it to one army. The rivivication crystal....or however you spell it. Actually is lore acceptable because the lizardmen have tones of super powered weapons they don't use because they are too dangerous....so something that regenerates fallen warriors is not out of the question. Then Their is cold blooded healing....this just feels like they are turning lizards into vampire counts. They did give an explanation about wanting to slow the game down but it is now a precedent that they might let all armies have a healing mechanic like this.

I dont agree that its not lore friendly. Just because they only add Feral units to the Lizardmen roster, does not make it less lore friendly. It just means they didnt add it to other factions, either because they didnt want to, or didnt feel like those factions needed more fleshing out with feral units. I do agree there are likely gigantic treasure troves of Old Ones artifacts that we never get to see in the lore, so busting out a new toy for the Lizardmen isnt a bad thing necessarily. The question is does it fit with the theme and playstyle of the faction? Some people will think that it does not, as by the description its getting somewhat close to necromancy in that it can resurrect units. I dont personally mind the idea, but some people will. I do find it interesting CA is giving the Lizardmen a bit of a healing focus, I'm wondering if they will also get access to Lore of Life. They might not simply because of all these other healing abilities

Depends on the Black Orcs. Orcs have a lot more individuality than Lizardmen, all Temple Guard are usually the equal of all others from their moment of spawning; exceptions being with rare spawnings like Chakax, the Eternity Warden or those units who are extremely ancient. Grimgor's "da Immortulz" are the best of the best Black Orcs and may be able to defeat an equal number of ordinary Temple Guard.

actually that depends also for the temple guards. Their role is handed down from time to time by a guard chosen to another. Their armor and helmet remains the same since antiquity. Thanks to this, these excellent, constantly maintained equipment began to connect with the guards, start absorbing all the memories and experiences they have experienced. Every new guard when assumed the role will have enormous warrior knowledge of his predecessors.

jevry you say that but you don't know when you would lose control of a unit. Is it the same time another army's units would rout? Is it possible for lizardmen to rout at all? Is there any chance for getting control back?

if morale depletes (wich it nearly always does when hp is low) the units "routes" right? so be sure you know when a unit has low morale. the bigger the unit however the less morale. wich ofc is weird. and ofcourse when a unit has a certain of morale recovered they leave rampage just like normal armies can have their units regroup. just will be hard to keep your out of control units away from combat... really hard. now for unrampagable units i have no idea. either unbreakable or standart route. and skinks will be like greybeards but easier to die. what ca is trying to do i think is make a STRONG army roster. but iof the player doesnt use weak units their army is very suspectible to the othe roplayer playing smart as you can't do shit agains6t your cav attacking spearmen. meaning the lizard army is "strong". but if not filled with weak units like skinks also essentially "blind". i guess the best comparable to brettonia where if you don't use the... yay forgot the name. if u don't use the dude that boosts morale your main line will very quickly retreat. but that dude himself has no melee capabilities at all. meaning you have one less slot for more fighting capable units. or if you have a wide main battle line, several. now the problem of you main line rampaging isnt that big. they can hold even when not commandable. because if the units they fight rout they will advance for you and attack x unit wich sometimes even is an advantage as you need to micromanage one or two units less however flanks where multiple targets apply, or a battle in wich there is no more "main battle line" but only multiple skirmishes 1v1 or 1v2,, you get screwed. for example if your cold ones rampage just before routing a unit and keep chasing it meaning the cold ones essentially "rout" until that unit dies or leaves the field. or if that unit dies your cold ones might deside to rampage into a line of spearmen. wich is suicide. or since the cold ones take no damage while killing of the routing unit, you might recover control of them. ofcourse the best outcome.

It just is, I'm not sure if there ever was a lore justification for it, but from a gameplay and Tabletop perspective, it was probably done to further differentiate races. Necromancy really is just a Vampire/Undead thing

How to fix the feral "lore" stuff... the player's perspective is the perspective of a Slann Mage-priest controlling the battle... There you go, when you play as lizardmen, you're actually a fatass Slann-mage, either mazdamundi or some sleeping one that's just casually sending mind-shit to survey what's going on. Also as Loremaster of Sotek said. The Lizardmen has a lot of old ones machines that they don't use... so the corpse cart thing isn't really that big a jump from lore... although it does beg the question "Why not use it in earlier times then?" but eh.

The whole focus on healing, the crystal, the Cold blooded mechanic, just doesn't make sense to me. That wasn't how the lizardmen play, they where s grindy in your face magic you faction. This heal mechanic just doesn't fit how they fought. Sauraus due to their low I would always come out bloody in a fight, but would keep pushing on thanks to buffs by the Slann. Idk gameplay wise it just doesn't make sense to me.

I know that Totalwar is focus on realistic troop (infantry, cavalry, artillery) and how can I respect for Monster-based race in the future? Chaos Warriors, Beastmen and now Lizardmen. It's hurt to don't see those awesome monster run happily on battleground.

Tomorrow We Live Effectively, yes it is padding the roster out, but with a good reason I think. It's a low-cost way for CA to improve the early game for campaign, and to add some pricing trade-offs for the multiplayer. I think it's likely that the combined time and money taken to create the feral units would be less than that required to create just 1 completely unique unit. Something like Salamanders would need their own animations and models, as opposed to the feral units which double-up on the animations and models for other units in the roster. With regard to resource-allocation, I can see why CA made this call. High impact on the game for a low cost :)

I dont 100% understand the rampage mechanic. From what little lore I've read about the Lizardmen, they are about as trained and disciplined as they get in the warhammer world. Isn't that kinda off putting for the LIzardmen? Or was this lore bit just kinda on its own?

Saurus are described as disciplined in the armybook, so rampage mechanic for them is an interesting inclusion, but that was probably to differentiate them more from Temple Guard. And its not a big logical leap to assume that ferocious warriors like Saurus sometimes get overcome with bloodlust

Ah, glad I wasn't entirely off. Yeah what I know about them is from End Times during the Skaven invasion. They mentioned how Saurus were ultra trained, and basically stood there defiantly even when being blasted with plague (Granted this may have been Temple Guard?).

CA has never done an acceptable job of reasoning their invented units, and frankly right now they're starting to lose my trust. If their "creative liberties" they've taken with the Lizardmen are representative of the rest of game 2 then I probably won't buy it at this point. I signed on for a Warhammer game, not a Warhammer-based game with CA's twists at every corner.
