I wish that GW would have chosen to make the HE undo the vortex, but converse it into trapping the 4 Chaos Gods, allowing the magical chaos power that they consume split to all the other gods. Basically nerf the 4, empower all others. The great age of the Dwarfs could return, the Orks would unleash the most brutal of Waaaghs with Gork and Mork now ever present amongst them, the Empire would burst with angels of Sigmar, the Asur would fly again on legions of dragons, the Horned Rat would take his place on the Council, the Lizardmen would be able to realise the Great Plan, and the chaos worshippers would be finally on the run for once, having to actually think a little bit and get their asses kicked while trying to regain their lost glory for a change. The possibilities... but nope, we got AoS :( pls make more videos ripping these books apart

+jakobos93 Completely agree, warhammer is good about showing the constant changing of fates with the fortunes of the major powers constantly rising and falling, but chaos is well, a little inert. It seems like they are always on the verge of destroying everything and all powerful always, which is not very "chaotic" as chaos is about constant change and it feels like chaos is a little static with nothing really affecting or changing them.

+Kalenz as far as I understand the Warp in Warhammer, it’s the realm where the feelings, beliefs and dreams of sentient beings are formed into raw power. It’s the realm of magic, demons and gods. The Chaos Gods, especially the main 4, are essentially impossible to kill, because their existence us fed not only through direct worship, but raw emotion and concepts. For example, Khorne is the god of murder and violence, but also of courage. Every courageous or violent act feeds Khorne. So even if you take up arms to fight a demon of Khorne to protect your family, indirectly you are still empowering Khorne. What I had hoped was to find a way to cut off the 4 big Chais Gods from their raw emotion. Making them normal gods. So every Khorne worshipper that acts in a way that honors Khorne, empowers Khorne. But a dwarf would empower Grugni, an elf Khaine, an imperial Ulric or Sigmar. Essentially nerf the main 4 but empower all other gods. Make the evil worshippers be the loosing side for once and have a new age begin for all other races.

Sir Dude the problem is that dwarves are stil recovering from their decline, even in the Age of Silver most of the Karaks are only half filled, if they are lucky. Offend they are still fighting to simply survive, Orcs, Goblins and Skaven are offend banging at their doors and if they are defeated it's only a matter of time before they are back. For a lot of strongholds there is no such thing as peace, just a moments respite before the enemy comes back. For a new stronghold to be created there first has to be clans available to do so, a dwarf king or queen isn't going to give permission to a bunch of clans to start a new stronghold, when they barely have the manpower ergh excuse me Dwarfpower to secure the existing stronghold. For example Karak Norn, Karak Izor and Karak Hirn where officialy founded during the Goblin Wars by clans from the fallen Karaks Gunbad, Ekrund and Silverspear because they could not reach the surviving Karaks. For the moment Karak Hirn and Karak Izor are establishing new settlements, Orc and Goblin attacks are rare in the Vaults but they still have serious Skaven problems.

Nice vid, Arch! I would also like to mention that Dawi do not consider Nepotism as negative, due to the whole honour thing. And even a young Dwarf can gain the respect of an elder by choosing a strongly traditional trade, particularly mining and smithing. He still has to prove himself, of course, but to a much lesser degree than going for "something new and fancy" over "classic" works.

Considering the monopoly of stagnation that the guild has created is literally killing the entire Dawi race (grudge inbound) I'm surprised that the Slayer cult doesn't have an entire sect of engineers devoted to killing themselves with experimentation to drive the innovation of the Dawi as a whole. Nerds Eternal Yeah, got to love how they keep diplomatically messing up. For instance, one of the most recent events I can think of that was presented in the most recent edition of the Dwarf Rulebook was when the Elves actually sent an emissary to the Dwarves, but said emissary never made it there as her entourage was ambushed by the vampire of all vampires, Mannfred von Carstein, and all of them were killed and the emissary herself abducted. The Dwarves, being an honourable sort, took upon themselves the responsibility of rescuing this emissary even though she was a filthy High Elf, to the point where the Dwarven High King personally led a massive army into Sylvania to free her. Upon arriving near Mannfred's castle however, the Dwarves found that the High Elves had already sent an army of their own which was on the brink of defeat, buckling under the weight of the undead hordes unleashed against them by Mannfred von Carstein. The Dwarves swept in and essentially saved what remained of the Elven army from certain death, but sadly they were not able to rescue the emissary as Mannfred escaped his losing battle and took her with him. How did the Elves respond? Accused the Dwarven High King to his face that it was the Dwarves' fault their emissary was lost, and offered no thanks whatsoever for them having saved countless Elven lives. If anything I would say the Dwarven High King was being unusually diplomatic when his reply basically boiled down to "Well, you can all piss off then. Don't expect the Dwarves to ever lift a finger for an Elf again.". Personally I would have expected them to turn around and slay the rest of the Elven army themselves for such a slight.

Jørgen A the King was wise he realised that evan if that particular Elf deserved to get munched by a Zombie it would have started yet another war which ether race could not afford. yet the High Elves will need to mend ties before the next Storm of Chaos that's if they want to survive .

Nerds Eternal Well, I doubt those ties could ever be mended to any meaningful degree. The Dwarves would still probably fight alongside Elves against Chaos simply because, well, it's Chaos. It's saving the world, not helping the Elves. And Dwarves for all their grumpyness and grudgebearing still have more common sense than any Elf is ever likely to muster. But do I think they would ever help the Elves specifically? No, I doubt any amount of diplomacy will ever un-burn that bridge. I don't think the High King marched to Sylvania to save the Elven emissary in order to help the Elves even, but simply because killing or abducting an emissary on their way to meet with the High King would be percieved as a slight against the High King they were supposed to meet with.

Hello. Your videos are really amazing and as a big fan of dwarves, I wanna both congratulate and thank you for this magnificent piece of entertainment. Now, I beg u to forgive my ignorance but, I am truly baffled. Lore of such grandeur could rival (if not surpass) even the Tolkien master piece. Its truly astonishing but yet so odd that no matter where I look, I cant find movies, animations, comic books, games of ANY kind that could bring any relation to this universe. There was the mmo, which failed a few years after release, the board game, which I never saw in my whole life, a paralel dimensional world called 40K (this one does have many games enriching its lore but, still, its another world) and now the new Total War bringing life yet again to this Warhammer universe but still, none of these could explain such a rich, grand story. Where did you find this treasure? What is your source ??? i wish I was a 3d modeler... I would try to create a virtual board game with rpg elements giving life Warhammer. The complete absence of anything even barely remembering anything of this sort is almost criminal to me.

Is there an actual reason why King Caledor II was just so dickish to the Dwarven emissaries, other than just arrogance? I mean, the Elves and Dwarves have probably been working together for centuries at this point; would it be that hard for the Elves to simply explain, "hey, we have some batshit insane extremists running around; it was probably them"?

+Sultan He was a bored, and spoilt usurper. His usurper dad beat back Malekith, and Caledor II wanted something to define his rule, war with the dwarves set that up. Caledor II's brother did attempt to show the Dwarves that the Elves had a civil war, but basically Tzeentch is involved in making sure it doesn't happen. Too many dragons die and they begin to refuse the elven songs, and Tzeentch destroys the Dwarf airships making the Engineers guild lose face and banning their production.

Three words: Dwarf Mounted Muskox. Muskoxen are like small Bison with more hair. The Muskoxen wool is the best insulating and weather resistant wool. Dwarf and Battle Bore. These pigs sniff out enemy traps and hunt down retreating enemies. The bore are also use in the mines to find rear ore veins and magic plants and fungi.

I love the dwarven logic of it being a death sentence to sell elves alcohol. So they end up selling it to humans. Who can then sell it to the elf. Cuz it wasn't the dwarf who sold it. I just imagine this happening in a bar somewhere is just hilarious.

Thanks for this! I was just reminiscing war hammer online and got your channel. Back then it introduced me war lore and in that non canon lore I find that dwarves and elf are in the same alliance which I find weird
