Honestly, the more I learn about Warhammer Fantasy lore, the more I realize how much Bioware basically just ripped it off when making Dragon Age. Parallell reality made up of mind-stuff where magic comes from? Check Said parallel reality being made up of 'demons' who feed on those emotions? Check Said demons looking for any excuse to enter actual reality, and will use mages as an easy possession subject? Check Said mages being greately feared by everyone normal because of both their powers to bend reality, and their inclination to summon demons? Check Said mages then being locked up by state-sanction colleges/circle of magi so that they can be controlled and regulated? Check Witch Hunters/Templars with some power to disrupt magic are sent in to kill or wrangle dangerous rogue mages? Check It just goes on and on. And don't get me started on the Dwarves.

The Colleges of Magic are centered around understanding and using magic, while the psyker schools, non-heretical ones at least, focus one controlling and minimizing the psyker's connection to the warp, and figuring out how to weaken it's influence.

According to FB Roleply Ed2 (dont remember which sub book) - summoned daemon will always seek to harm the summoner, no matter how and why he was summoned, or what benefits such summon will bring him. Usually, especialy if daemon was bound in some way - it will not be directly, but daemon will always look for opportunity to cause harm at least indirectly.
