In their defense, both Kislev and Cathay are constantly holding back Chaos, or preparing to hold back Chaos. It’s likely why none of dragon children or Katarina (potentially Kostaltyn; probs spelled that wrong) are there. And if Techlis is gonna bungle foot it (best intentions aside) right out the door, and Thorgrim is going to (rightfully) call the HE on their bullshit, I too would probably stop wasting my time on negations that have already gone out the door in terms of international relations. But Karl is the GOAT of getting people who don’t like each other to work together, so by Sigmar he’s got my vote.

I initially thought Thorgrim was being really unreasonable even for a Dawi; however, I think he was fine till Teclis said, "With the Asur's guidance...". The dwarfs have every reason to not trust the elves given their history and Thorgrim has a point about Teclis being there instead of Tyrion or Alarielle. He isn't exactly the leader of the High Elves, but the High King and Emperor are there and the elves just send Teclis. He did have some "small" grounds to be suspicious 😅

In warhammer there are good and bad factions and then there is chaos and they all understand that it is worse than anything and it would mean the end of them all so they fight together, they would probably fight eachother again after defeating chaos. (that never happens because the end times was written awfully)

The tomb Kings are basically neutral. They don't care either way as long as they get left alone. Chaos has a bad habit of not leaving anyone alone though, so the TK end up fighting alongside order more out of coincidence than anything. Remember that Settra was aided by elves during a harrowing war against daemons once, and his way of showing gratitude was not slaughtering the elves after the battle, letting them leave his lands alive. That's about as friendly as a Tomb King gets.

The Tomb Kings are bad guys- just not the worst. Settra is a ruthless tyrant who seeks world domination and to be a god among men, but he isn't stupid: he knows Chaos is a grave threat and he refuses to bow to them. He also has some mutual enemies with the Order forces, so he allows for an alliance of convenience until the Storm has passed. After that, the forces of Order had best keep an eye on him.

With a certain exception, the Tomb Kings are at worst Lawful Neutral. Settra wants to restore his empire eternal, but is pretty fine with others who dont interfere. Leave him and his claimed land alone and the Tomb Kings are fine with you. Unless you're undead. They actually loathe other undead. Their state was kind of an accident. Intentional necromancy, especially considering Arkhan, is a big no no for them.

My personal favorite part has to be the end when the men of the Empire and the men of Kislev stand shoulder to shoulder against the oncoming storm once more, a return to the days of the Great War Against Chaos. Imagine what the roar of the Little Grom's and the Great Cannons sounds like, or the sound of the Winged Lancers and Demi-Griff Knights slamming headlong into Juggernauts and Chaos Knights. The full might of the nations of men making it's stand in defiance of the Dark Gods all while under their gaze. Truly magnificent stuff.

You see all of these leaders making really cool entrances: Karl Franz on the back of Deathclaw, Tsar Katarina (I think) on a bear, Archaon and the various Greater Daemons marching across the battlefield. What i love about this trailer that theres so much love for each faction here, everyone gets their short spotlight, everyone gets a cool moment, theres a representation of heros of each faction. From a full on fight scene to a skaven cheering while everyone around him gets blown up. Every scene, every line, oozes love.

Man, I love fighting all these factions but seeing them all band together to literally have the forces of just good and evil fight is something beautiful and sends shivers down my spine. The kind of feeling you get watching allies come together in Lord Of The Rings to unite against an evil horde. Makes me wish there was more of a 'together we unite' game mode that literally just has the forces of good vs evil.

The Order Lord pairings are all great. The alchemists Balthazar Gelt and Zhao Ming, a natural fit. Katarin Bokha, Ice Queen of the land that bears the brunt of Chaos in the old world, side by side with Karl Franz, Emperor of the warmer and richer neighbour that benefits from this shield. But my personal favorite is Grombrindal, the Dawi king of old who was friends with the treacherous son of Aenarion, now standing with Tyrion, a worthy heir to Aenarion before he was corrupted by the sword of the Bloody-handed God.

I just love the shot with the Wood Elves and Lizardmen just charging out of the trees. It just looks so epic, I love lizardmen. Just the other day I played as Nakai unionizing all the good factions together, and the only reason why they don't have beef with each other (aside the dwarfs and tomb kings), is because my faction is the strongest and is like: Either we fight together, or I beat you all down to the ground.

Okay picture this : a CRPG ( top-down computer rpg ) set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. in character creation, you choose between the following races/backgrounds : Druchii Vampire Vampire Pirate Asrai Asur Ogre Dawi Dawi-Zharr Human ( Order or Chaos aligned ) Skaven each race/background determines how you interact with the world and what type of companions can recruit, and in some cases your moral alignment. you build a party of capable and diverse companions and face down the horrors of the world, either for the betterment of others or for your own gain. plus it would be incredibly funny to have a Dark Elf, a Skaven, a Chaos Dwarf and a Vampirate in the same RPG party. imagine all the betrayal.

@@RRRRRRRRR33 counterpoint: Khorne wasn't trying to kill him and just wanted to teach him a lesson (sneak attacks are for cowards). On the other hand, it's Gotrek and Felix. One is the literal avatar of a god and was the only mortal to survive the end of the world and just dip into AoS (excluding mortals who became gods) and the other has survived having to adventure with a legendary slayer. Oh yeah, they also already killed a bloodthirster. They did struggle there, however that was in the first years of their travels and by Archaon's invasion they had decades more experience. Gotrek also gets for power from his axe as he goes (given that the axe is what makes him an avatar of the dwarf god)

A lot of people like to poke fun at Thorgrim's reaction to Teclis' "short-sightedness" remark and, while he did misread it, it's actually understandable why he thought it was a veiled insult. Elves in Warhammer tend to hide a lot of double-meanings in their words, statements that could read like a compliment could actually be a deep insult and many of them take great amusement at doing things like, especially if the other party doesn't know. Combine that with Thorgrim being highly suspicious of elven intentions, given the long, long history of bad blood between the two races, and it makes sense why he would immediately interpret it as an insult. I can also imagine Teclis was mentally kicking himself the moment he said that and recognized his blunder.
