As someone with barely superficial knowledge of Warhammer lore I can attest to the accuracy of this, except for one thing: Greenskins do not have to worry about the fun police. Being overly fighty doesn't lead to them getting corrupted by Khorne because they have their own gods and anything that's gloriously violent or dumb pretty much counts as pious worship. Like, the dude with the mask who constantly dances on the spot and summons a massive magic foot to stomp people? That's like their pope.

lol, if you want to look up Tuska Daemon-Killa he's the only orc I've ever seen with a connection to the chaos gods (he's in 40k tho but it doesnt rlly matter). Its not that hes a champion of Khorne or whatever tho, he just fought so much and well that Khorne decided to keep him in his backyard and toss defective bloodletters/other mortal servants into the Orc pit as some kind of entertaining trashcan.

As a European who plays the tabletop game, you're entirely right about both. Forgot to add, my favorite manifestation of dwarf grudge keeping is when you're allied with two dwarf factions that go to war with each other and you can only honour one alliance. The later they confederate and stack their grudges, so now they all hate you. Worse yet if you wanted to stay out of it, that's a double grudge.

A three way alliance of Border Prince, Vampire Counts, and Dwarves stood together against the onslaught of Chaos...They literally razed everyone else to the ground. @@baul997 They're called Marienburg. Biggest harbour and trade city of the Old World, sitting in between the Empire and Bretonnia. It's territory is essentially the one city and a bigass swamp. Used to be part of the Empire until during a civil war, where they just straight up recognised the closest claimant to the throne and then promptly seceeded and bribed him into accepting their secession and declare it legal. It, uh, it's really pissed off the rest of the Empire ever since. But Marienburg itself is basically a Venice-style archipelago city and has a bigger navy then the Empire, so they can't really do shit about it and the Marienburgers just sit there and make money.

The fact about Total War Warhammer is that it is just plain old fun, you can find something that appeals to your taste, want to just have the best stabby units and have a non stop war against everything in your path? Orks Want to use weird tech that is just down right silly? Skaven Want to have access to all schools of magic and a variety of melee and range units? Empire Want to play stubby alcoholics? Dwarfs Want to play the Vietnamese? Wood Elves Want to play a BDSM orgy? Dark Elves Want to play dinosaurs? Lizardmen Want to play a bunch of flaming homosexuals? High Elves Want to be a pirate cause a pirate is free? Vampire Coast Did you read Twilight and you like Vampires? Vampire Counts Want to play as Spoopy Egyptians? Tomb Kings There is a poison for whatever you want to do, and every faction has different leaders that play different or have unique mechanics which make them different from everything else, it is just nuts the amount of things you can do and play in Warhammer.

I think the big boon of using warhammer as an ip, is that the whole thrust of a setting based around a wargame kind of REQUIRES each faction and indivigual unit to be interesting enough to buy and compelling enoughto collect an army. so by necessity, over decades, gw had to make interesting, unique, consolidated stuff that just so happened to translate perfectly to an rts. even if you don’t care about stuff outside of the game, I think that shows. dont know why im here anyways, I just play the janky medieval 2 mod.

The difference is that I'm speaking from the diaphragm, and putting deliberate emphasis on the parts of the sentence I want emphasized. Speaking deliberately creates a lot of opportunities for me to make fun kinetic edits and stuff. Not to mention the higher dynamic range lets me be more emotionally expressive through the voiceover. The "trying not to wake someone in the other room" kinda narration from the cruelty squad video would not have worked for the attitude of this script, and the laser focus on flow and pacing. But I do understand how it can be grating overall. I don't think I can do anything about that, but I'll try

You also forgot to mention that the Lizardmen have a Hero called Lord Kroak, who is a mummified and reanimated Slann (a race of hyper intelligent toad men who are better at magic than any Elf currently alive). He died in the most metal way possible: by conjuring an actual sun and using it to detonate a whole army of Chaos Undivided Daemons that up until that point had been ravaging the world for actual thousands of years. You can use this sun yourself, and not only does it atomize anything it touches, your units suffer zero damage from it.
