EGs are a great platform. Very lightweight and plenty of aftermarket. I have to be honest, Hondas are the only affordable 90s Japanese cars to tune these days. Good Stuff!

Love the DX hatch, had one for my first car. Unfortunately living in Illinois the salty roads got to it. I'd get another one in a heartbeat if I could find a clean one. Love the "period correct" B series swap. Keep up the fantastic work

I also used to have a Del Sol with a B16 stock from factory an unfortunately also got into a car accident. It was disappointing but I upgraded to an S2000 so it was a win at the same time.

Del Sol SR2 shift lever is different than all the other Civic and Integra OEM shift levers. It's a short throw shifter with the upper half bent toward the driver. I believe the Del Sol console has the lever up higher which might explain why the linkage is different too. Also...the factory gold linkage was only on the JDM Integra Type R that came with titanium shift knobs. The reason it was different was because the heavy weighted titanium knob allowed them to remove the extra counter weight from the shifter rod to attain the desired shift feel. US ITR with the titanium knob didn't get this upgrade.

LHT: You can keep the 97 OBD-2 engine harness. It should plug right into the EG's chassis harness on both shock-towers without issue. Honda was genius in that they simply added a 4th plug to the passengers side harness for the extra OBD-2 features. That unused plug on the engine harness simply clips onto the factory harness bracket. I have a 97 B-series in my 94 Civic with a US market 97 GSR engine harness.

That rear end is repairable, however it does take a lot of work so I can't see why the insurance would claim it as totaled. The rear end could be swapped out with the JDM version with the auto targa top

When i was young i had a fiat x1/9 i was doing 93 miles and hour and an unmarked cop car started chasing me. I down shifted hit the brakes, pulled off the road and got out of my car in time to see the cop car sliding past me still doing 80 or 100 miles an hour. Little cars stop fast.
