I think its good the way it is for balance purpose. I'd be a bit too OP if 20x archers can 1shot a group of melee units from their max distance with 1 salvo.

Now you need fire archers which do damage over time, poison archers that when they kill an enemy the enemy corpse emits poison gas that do damage to nearby enemies, and a lightning archer and when they shoot an enemy it chains to other enemies.

Dear Landfall, in this video I saw a arrow that hit a sword and didn't bounce away!!! It was stuck in the sword! (btw. the footmen should be able to block some of the arrows) + If the arrows hit the footmens helmets they shouldn't take as much damage as usual

THAT'S SO COOL!!! One thing that I'd change about the mechanics of the Frost Archer (my name for it, use it if you want, Landfall) The frost from the arrows slowly consumes the target's body over time, but the effect stacks, like in the vid. The more arrows there are stuck in a unit, the faster they solidify (all ice effects removed if the targeted unti takes any fire damage)

I would like to see temperature completely independent from health. What I mean is that it does 0 (or very little) damage until it kills. That way burning units can cancel with freezing units, giving us one more thing to think about.

I was just thinkong of a full aztec or something like that (i am just calling them aztecs) faction witchs troops would be: (could no think of a name yet) a person who rides a velociraptor and has a wood sword with idk dinosaur teeth for the blade (i am bad with names i know) bit like an emperor or a king who rides a Carnotaurus or a trex with a cool golden throne saddle thing the dinos would work like the mammoth but meaby more damage or speed and hp but costs more A basic aztek sword person with a viking shield sized dino hide bone shiel The blowdart dude Meaby a dino like a velociraptro or an utah raptor type A war drummer who gives a buff of damage when he is near a troop A person who is like the large axe viking with a big aztecy sword So yeah that is the faction i have been thinking of and i would want to hear peoples opinions on it Yeah i know aztecs are not from the same era as dinos but meaby they are just something else than aztecs

I'm guessing this is a Viking unit for what I can best describe as "distraction/slow down" class. Aztec has the blowdart, Medieval has the jester, Farmer has banjo. Perhaps it will be Asia or Ancient that gets the fire arrows then.

LeoTheSquid Sure, Poachers were great, but now they would need changing. The Archers are way more accurate than when Poachers were in the game. Some units could take four arrows from a Poacher and still live, whereas an Archer can now kill in two to three hits. Now there are also far more ranged units, like the Spear thrower and Ice Archer, so Poachers wouldn't be that great compared to some other units. The past is in the past, let it go.

Ooh, you know what TABS is missing? Two types of units that have a unique team interaction and perform waaaay better than they would do as individuals. For example, a guy that tosses explosive barrels at people for meh damage, and a pirate captain that has no great combat stats but exclusively shoots explosive barrels if they're in the range of enemies.

Landfall, for the Egyptian faction, have archers that use arrows of the asp, which are magically guided and never miss, or something along those lines, but make them expensive, very expensive.

Just an idea with these guys: Maybe the part of the body they hit with the arrow should be unable to be used? for example a leg, the leg won't work, or an arm, the arm won't work. Love the update videos and can't wait for the game to be released :)

I have an idea for a faction, I call it the heroes faction, and I don't mean something like UEBS's faction. Now all we need is a system. This is my idea. Under the units there is an arrow facing downwards. Right when you press it it lets you put Armour on a unit for a cost. The Armour gives him more health.

the more I I looked at this start to realize these guys probably didn't have quick deaths those the arrows probably penetrated them and then over time the ice would slowly start to cause frostbite and then their organs would start failing and overtime die from the cold....pretty messed up when you think about it

you should edit the AI of the archers if all enemies are pretty far away the archers would prioritise on shooting the ones in front of them so if it would be a line of archers vs a line of footmen the archers wouldn't fire at the same target
