For $14 I'd say that's a pretty darn good deal, even if it only lasts one run. With a bit more thought into the design, this could become a really great product!

It's the bindings and boots that'd make this not work imo...chances are if you own your own bindings and boots then you have a snowboard. Also if you're going to pay the money for the bindings/boots then you're going to buy a board. If they could get cheap enough bindings/boots to throw on this and sell it as a one day product for under 30$ and it actually lasted a day then you might have something there.

i think that this would be a perfect alternative to rental boards for people on a budget and only need to ride for a few days at a time. and you dont have to worry about returning anything.

You guys could do a combination of a snowboard and snowskate. Personally i love the cut and responsiveness of my snowskate but the lack of surface area for speed and bindings for powder and tree trails im forced to use my snowboard in the mountains. The way i see it a slightly longer snowskate with bindings and a slightly larger ski in width and length could fix this. I'd love to see this theory tested.

Shoulda used tabletop resin instead of the regular resins used in snowboards. It's a perfect balance in between polyurethane and regular epoxy.
