In this video, I overview the Totally Integrated Power Module including illustrations of the CAN B Bus & the CAN C Bus networks, the fuses and the connectors of a Jeep Patriot.
I also give the basic information about the removal.

Hi,i have a jeep compass 2.0 crd 2007 and when i start the car yesterday come the light indicator of abs,src,bas,4wd,traction control,electronic trottle control...all this error and the car run now just with front drive wheel(have just front traction)...can be the TIPM fail and make this all problem???? Thank s and sorry for my english

Do you know if the same TIPM is used on Jeep Patriot 2010 equipped with Diesel and Gasoline Engines or they have different (incompatible) TIPMs? TIPMs from diesel engines are more easily found here but I want to put it on a car with gasoline engine.

I don't know! I have never seen any Jeep Patriot with a diesel engine in Canada. Some gasoline engine TIPMs should be interchange if the part number is the same or the superseding part number is compatible with the transmitted data, the data bus network communication protocols and the LIN bus communication version and the LIN data. Ask to a service person at your local Jeep dealership, he should know more about it.

YES if one or more specific electronic component(s) of the circuit board(s) is/are defective.

If you mean fog lights, there is no specific dedicated fuse. The output power comes from the TIPM C11 connector. You can try the fuse 31(Headlamp Washer Relay Control) or the fuse 36 (Headlamp/Washer Control/Smart Glass) or ask your local Jeep dealer service person.

I am retired and I only repair some vehicles to help my close family. Note, even if your TIPM is in good condition, the starter will not work if a relay located in the fuse block (relay box) is corroded or defective.

@@mtlcarguy I verified all relays and fuses there are three for fans and one main relay it is a jeep compass 2007 , according to the electric diagram power goes from tipm straight to the starter on c 10 yellow gray cable however the relay box had a lot of collosion as a matter of fact one relay for fans broke inside and it didnt bother me until now that the car is in a no start no crank

I was told to verify input on a c7 B+ from ignition red yellow orange cable to tipm , that is why I viewed this video , the diagram seems different and I have more connectors than what is shown in this video, i cant figure out what is what , 1,2,3,4,5,....13 they are numbered abcdef at this point I need to get it to a professional ,I will not mess with it anymore.

@@jovictor3007 If your Jeep Compass is not the second-generation (MP/552), the C7 TIPM connector is connected with the FUSED ignition switch output via the pin no 5 (Run-Start), the pin no 7 (Run), the pin no19 (Run-Acc) and the ignition switch output pin no 21 (Run-Acc). This C7 connector has also 11 pins connected with fused B(+) wires.

There is no specific fuse used to directly protect or turn OFF the Fuel Pump Module. The fuel management is done by the TIPM electronic fuel pump control system.

A good bidirectional scan tool is required to troubleshoot the window regulator modules if it is an electronic or electrical problem. This kind of work is usually done by a specialist.
