I bought a record collection recently that included some mint 80's rock and metal. It averaged out to around $5 each. Check out this first part in a short series.

The best part about Girlschool's Hit & Run is the song Take It All The Way. If that's what it is called. But I swear she's singing "We got chicken, on the way." Speaking of Freddy. Do you got his rock and roll album? I remember that album piled up in our record stores. Probably ended up being 99 cents still sealed. Been meaning to watch all 3 Decline movies. Not sure what extras are in the box set they released a couple or few uears ago. But I never seen the 3rd one. That soundtrack for #2 used to also be one of those 99 cent delete bin cassettes. Not sure where that store scored them all, but it was like there was 20 or 25 copies of everything. Another weird one was the Charles Mason tape of Lie. Speaking of Winger. I remember Beavis once caught a Stuartfish on maybe the Couch Surfing episode.

Sometime around 86 or 87 I abandoned hair metal and starting getting more into.classic rock from 60s and 70s. I liked dokken, motley crue whitesnake, keel. But by 88 I was done with that stuff. Kingdom come were zeppitators. I did like do u like it from their second album. I had both of their first cassettes back in the day. Kingdom come is still around. My coworker is in a band and recently opened up for them. I graduated high school in 89. So this certainly my era.

Wow some killer 80’s metal records here! I remember me and my crew back in the day loved that LA Guns LP almost as much as GNR Appetite! We had a Holy Trinity of Sleaze Rock with GNR Appetite, LA Guns and Faster Pussycat! Love that Britny Fox record! Thats not an easy one to come by! Great record! One of my fave albums from that era! Even the cheesy songs! However I was not a fan of Kingdom Come I mean the fact that they were a total Zep copy was not lost on us Metalheads back then! “Kingdom Come in Your Face” LMFAO! I always ask first?!? What do you say? “May I please come in your face? LoL! Great pick up on that Decline of Western Civilization ST! That movie was amazing! So fun! Dude are you serious? That Roky Erickson track on RotLD ST is one of the best songs on there! That scene in the movie is incredible! Great pick ups Mr Fithen! ✨✌️👽✨

It was incredible to get this collection. Well yes, I mean I usually say "can" instead of "may" to keep is less formal sounding event though it's grammatically incorrect. I also don't say "please" for the risk of sounding like I'm begging. Rarely was the answer "no". You never know unless you ask! lol A lot of people are commenting that they really liked that Roky Erickson song.

The name "Sahara" appears in the lower right hand section of the album cover. The band initially wanted to call themselves "Sahara", but that name was taken by another band at the time. Though they ultimately chose the name Winger, "Sahara" remained on the cover.

It's weird that I saw Nuclear Assault 4 times locally in England, I always presumed they were from UK because they were on line-up's with UK thrash bands every time I saw them. The track that got all the radio airplay was a cover of 'Please Don't Touch' (Johnny Kidd and Pirates) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYqpqIFjoZlpqJo Got to about 4 or 5 on the official BBC chart, but did make no.1 on the alternative unofficial 'Network Chart' used by independent radio stations in UK at the time. Yeah, a lot of these bands I didn't fully appreciate in their time.

Some of latter period hair metal bands were just atrocious. Trixter, warrant, winger, white lion, slaughter firehouse, danger danger ,stryper even poison. Most of them that came out after 86 were just gawd awful. It started out cool. Bands like ratt fastway, dokken triumph krokus,y@T. I even liked motley crue at first. Same with bon Jovi. Then it just came 110% cheese fest. They all had the same formula and of course a power ballad. Then around 1991 the title wave came and just washed all those bands right off the planet. The beginning of grunge. Even established bands like maiden and priest broke up or their singers left. Same with motley crue.

I agree. I only liked the first two Motley Crue albums.

@RobertFithen I only liked def leppards first 3 albums. I liked whitesnakes early albums up until slide it in. I liked the 87 album at first, but overplayed. I wasn't a fan of 80s non make up KISS. Even Aerosmith cheesed out after permanent vacation. Alice cooper's mid to late 80s albums were awful. I wasn't a fan a fan of the turbo album by judas priest.
