Many memories of my kid-days. One Armed Forces day my class put on a show to celebrate the military around '55 the 10th anniversary. There is a song for each branch, we (my class) did the actual "C-B" song. "We're the Sea-Bees of the Navy" The name comes from "Construction Battalion". As an aside, three of my uncles were Marines in the entire Pacific Theater and one got a Silver Star on Iwo Jima driving a dozer. He wasn't a Sea-Bee just enlisted Marine. What he did was lead a bunch of other Marines up the mountain using the dozer for cover. He dropped the blade and sealed the cave (one of them) that the enemy combatants were in. All three uncles went through the entire war without harm, two went on to survive Korea.
