I don't fully understand it out what the point of it even is but basically there are times stages so a 21 second stage you have to cross the "finish line as close to exactly 21 seconds as possible and then the next one could be an 8 second stage so you want to cross the line at exactly 8 seconds. Again I have no idea why this is a thing.
