I had know the history of the events portrayed in the film prior to seeing it in the theatre. How it was handled and depicted was mind blowing, I didn't even think the crash would have been shown in the way it was. Similarly I cannot imaging a film will ever show the 1955 Le Mans horror. But hearing the audience react in an honest and visceral way, the gasps and even one woman weeping - I could hear/feel them thinking "I had no idea, I cannot believe this actually happened. How can these events have happened?" ...is all a testament to the filmmaking prowess of everyone involved.

I've seen visual artists react to that fliping scene( corridor crew)It is very grimm and a could have had a bit more polish to better sell it. The CGI wasn't that great but given that this has actually happened somewhat like this is brutal.

I once had to film a plane landing, with a camera on the runway angled up at 30 degrees. Asked the pilot to try hit the camera with the front wheel ... first try he hit the camera dead centre and destroyed it. Next take I asked him to try just missing the camera. Never underestimate an experts ability to do exactly what you ask them to.

New Zealand rally driver Neil Allport, with a reputation for massive crashes, lost it on a downhill section of a rallysprint in South Auckland and cut a power pole in half. Admittedly downhill and only half way up the pole, but even that seemed unbelievable to some who saw it.

As a Ferrari owner and a lifetime car aficionado, I absolutely loved the Ferrari film. Sadly, as we all know the movie bombed at the box office. People rather watch stupid superhero movies than watch an epic film about and iconic man who started without a doubt, one of the most famous car brands in the world. It’s too bad, because the acting was truly fantastic and yes although the film moves at a slow pace at first, it’s because it’s based on a period of time in the life of a real man and it dives deep into his personal life. As for the racing scenes, well Ben just explained it best from the inside. If you have not watched the film Ferrari, do yourself a favor and watch it tonight.

This was probably true about a decade ago n I too hated their modus operandi. But now they realise that opening up to the clients can really bring in the big bucks. They also seem to have opened up to let owners opt for a whole bunch of new colours compared to what they had in the 90s. There was a time they said their cars would never be offered in purple or green but now they do. They learnt a bit late that they could rake in much more if they increased production numbers abit as well as open up to new markets such as China where there are a lot of wealthy potential clientele. That's why they're the most profitable auto manufacturer that's almost 5x that of the manufacturer that comes in 2nd place, which was Porsche.

@rahulsudhir666
@rahulsudhir666 2 ай бұрын
@@ValladolidArde They didn't essentially blacklist Pininfarina. That issue was ironed out soon. The real reason supposedly is because Ferrari wanted Pininfarina to exclusively design for them n that wouldn't have been good for Pininfarina who were not doin great financially. Also keep in mind that Pininfarina designs stuff like pens, appliances etc other than cars for Alfa Romeo, Maserati n others. Imagine the state of your business designing just 3-4 cars every 10 years. In my opinion the 458 Italia/Speciale was the last car from Ferrari that was truly timeless in terms of design.
