Great REVIEW! Congratulations! I have TEATHERs and I fell in love with them from when I heard the SXFI sound. It's like going from 2D to 3D !! It is a sound that seems not to come from the headphones, but from the room. The feeling of having a home cinema in your head is brutal! I have on my desk a 2.1 system with Klispch R15PM speakers and a Klipsch R-110SW Subwoofer connected to my AE-9 SoundBlaster. The sound is excellent, but I can't have DOLBY ATMOS like this and since I have the desk I can't have speakers behind me. So the best option if I decide to replace my Klipsch is the SXFI CARRIER with which I would have DOLBY ATMOS and go from a 300w sound system to another 450w. The bad thing is that I would have to sell the 2.1 system and also with the SXFI CARRIER the AE-9 would not be necessary, right? What would you do in my place?

That's right, you won't need the AE-9 from my understanding. As for Dolby Atmos, yes you'd need either a soundbar or a dedicated bookshelf speaker setup + receiver for that experience; hard to say what's best, but frankly I'd never get a soundbar for a desk setup nor see the need/want Dolby Atmos either haha. @@TotallydubbedHD Well, I don't really need any changes to my current 2.1 desktop sound equipment. I have another sound system in the same room 5.1.2 with Dolby Atmos for cinema / series / PC games. And I like to play games on the desktop sometimes because I still use NVIDIA 3D VISION and the monitor allows it. But I miss the Dolby Atmos of games without the SXFI CARRIER bar. It would be a good option to sell my current desktop stereo and buy the Carrier. It would go from 300w to 450w + Dolby Atmos. The safe change should be noticed for the better. The subwoofer both are 200w.

Would this soundbar sound good to use sitting up close when gaming on a PC? I saw your other review of the Katana V2 and noticed how the V2 helped you out a lot when playing CSGO ^_^

Not really, if it's with a PC I'd really suggest the Katana.

Since both the Katana and the SXFI Carrier have USB Type-c ports, why would the Katana sound better? Is it because of a latency difference? Or is it because sitting up close to this particular sound bar affects sound quality? Thanks for your rely sir! Helpful stuff :D

Hi, are you able to hear the Atmos sound from the back or the top? For the price will it be a better choice to purchase a soundbar with rear speaker?

You are able to hear from the top, but not the back like a system with rears would do! Arguably having a system with more physical speakers around the room could be a bettered surround sound effect.

Great and informative vid! But: Future advice for your reviews: Clean the DUST on your desk and devices. It really looks bad on good quality review like this. 2: Sound demo part is terrible, don't do sound demo, only if you have a really HQ microphone, othervise sound demo is absolutely pointless.

Glad you liked the vid. As for the dust - that's the result of only a few days of dust; carpets are a nightmare, can't be always cleaning, but noted. As for the sound demo - if you don't do it people complain and if you do it, people complain - can't win, but rather have it there. Thanks.

what? I have yet to find the type of quality creative was known to deliver for such low prices even more than 20 years ago, their 7.1 surround systems where unique and lots of them are still functional after more than 20 years and compete competently against newer more expensive hometheaters... I remember buying my 7800 inspire 7.1 set up for less than 30 dollars... LESS THAN 30 DOLLARS, the only reason why they died was due to a robbery that took place where they stole some speakers and cables, then it rendered them useless for me, but my brother's 6.1 system is still banging and it is even older than the one I had.

@@davuvnik There soundcards katana speakers amongst other things have an awful lot of issues. They had a forum which they deleted due to all major issues people had with their soundcards. If you go on the creative subreddit all there products come across as in beta with tons of major issues that spread cross generation and never addressed.

@@UKgamer87 so, probably we have a generation gap as at the end of the 2000s -or between 2000 and 2010 I think- creative stopped their international business in my country and the only way I could get my hands on anything, it had to be done through imports and it ended up being too much for anyone to even try. But I do believe you, a long time has passed and perhaps that's one of the reasons why they went down into oblivion rather than growing as a company into a more international scene
