I was quite surprised for it to output 96,2% of sRGB coverage for a TN panel. I was also blown away by the contrast ratio. From my experience, the TN had always the worst glow right behind the IPS and then the VA with the best black levels. However, is the 540Hz monitor really necessary? It should be put to a test by some pros, whether they feel any difference or not. 240Hz is usually the sweet spot. 360-390Hz is already the maximum I would ever go with.

540Hz is cool and all, we should always aim to better it. However, at this time, the marginal improvements in motion clarity come at such a high cost, both in terms of price (Monitor + absurdly high-performance PC) and huge image quality compromises (TN, 1080p). It's really _really_ hard to justify for almost anyone... Also, those 480Hz 1440p OLEDs are just around the corner.

I still think that 144Hz is ideal because it's much easier to get 144 fps even in many AAA games, also paying so much for a TN panel in 2024 is ridiculous in my opinion. You can get a 1440P OLED at 27" for a similar amount of money. I just think it's wasteful to buy a monitor just for one specific type of games.
@TotallydubbedHD Жыл бұрын
You'll be surprised. Some people would solely buy it for hardcore gaming and nothing else. Certainly not me (even with 3h+ hrs on CS), but there is a niche market for it

i'm curious to try 540 hz but the only flaw that has this monitor is the price lol 1000€ ......and is only a 24" 1080p and not even an oled .Asus is crazy with prices

Yup, very expensive!

540 hz is that really needed? :V

Higher the better for hardcore comp gamers; but for most, nothing higher than 240Hz is needed imo.
@xPandamon Жыл бұрын
Nope, even for hardcore esport gamers this is excessive

For competitive players and E-sports players it's a nice improvement even over 360hz, but for any game except E-sports games you really don't get anymore than 240 fps consistenly

Played with a lot of Germans in the past lol. Nothing malicious, just a dig at the Germans' accents I used to play with (sounds like the number "four" in English with a very heavy German accent) 😂

@@MakeSh00t actually, total system latency will be lower at a higher refresh rate.
