Right? Less than $10, and you could drive there and back in half the time it took to make it. I also the “blade” of this home made splitter would not last. Too much heat applied during the process.

You must be financially responsible and hard working to have carefully saved enough to do so. Otherwise your comment would come off a little petty and/or cheap, potentially even insulting to those that do save their money for the things they love instead of buying new, cheap, stuff every few months. But really, if you don't like the idea of making your own tools, why make a snarky comment? Videos like this are usually aimed towards people that want to start their own shop/have their own shop and like to make their own tools instead of buying the more common stuff from retail. Nothing more satisfying than using something you made, to make something else.

At this point, this guy just has some really good skills, wants to make things and share it online without giving a shit if the stuff he makes is actually practical or not and honestly, I can respect that. His content is already better than half the stuff on here, plus it's great inspiration for people to start their own DIY projects.

I hope ya see this. Use these skills to start building your own custom furniture pieces. With all the favorited joining methods and the rebar door handles tables chairs everything. All small runs ofc cause handmade by one person. But if you created an online store and marketed that through this that'd be killer. Also might help with marketing. Could create a face for all of this.👆🏻

Well done. I have made many similar tools, jigs and fixtures both in the shop and on mobile service truckin Canadas BC bush. Way cheaper that the costly time and fuel to drive back to town and back. The time and labor cost would be enormous as well. This smart hack is a beauty my friend !
