Having Mike Evans is bull it doesn’t matter about the top 5, he’s one of the most consistent WR’s this game has seen, the only reason he might not be considered is that he got his ring under Tom Brady but when you see the QB’s he’s had to work with, there is a much stronger case, He’s the most underrated receiver in this generation

Rings don’t matter as much for receivers - it’s more about the stats for them. IMO 9 straight 1,000+ yard seasons already qualifies Evans for the HOF (and he was racking up most of those yards even before he got Brady).

His big weakness lies in his low production. He lags far behind his peers in career stats at this point through no fault of his own. We simply cannot put someone in the hall of fame for one season, no matter how good. However, if he can stay health and produce top 5 numbers for roughly 4 seasons, then he's a lock, but right now it's not really a debate that he needs more good seasons. Remember, kupp has had only one pro bowl and one all pro. To paraphrase, You wouldn't consider CJ2K a hall of famer, he had a kupp equivalent rb season but we don't consider him a hof. I think kupp will get in if he stays consistent. I make these comments because I want people to understand that there's more to a career than what sports media says. Players like Davante Adams and Mike evans have been getting ignored by the media even though they are leaps and bounds more consistent and productive. Goes to show how the media can skew perception. To that I say, that Kupp was in a good position that season. In a tam full of beasts, he rose above all of them. He won the SB MVP because he was the MVP. Kirk Cousins has outperformed all quarterbacks in the league not named Aaron Rodgers over the 8 years that he has been a starter. He has been saddled with bad defenses for the most part and awful offensive lines for nearly all his career. The number one thing that puts quarterbacks in the Hall of Fame is great coaching and Cousins again has not for much of his career. He still puts up great numbers each season even though he has the deck stacked against him. I have just written a book entitled "The First Scientific Look at the Greatest Quarterbacks of All Time". In that book I analyze all the Hall of Famers to start their careers after 1947 and about a dozen current or recently retired stars. Cousins outperforms at least 12 current Hall of Famers when you compare how much better he is than the average quarterback of his era than they were compared to the average quarterback from their respective eras. In my formula I believe a quarterback needs to score at least 400 points to be a Hall of Famer. Even with just 8 seasons as a starter Kirk scores a 411 which is nearly the same as Russell Wilson's score and not far behind Ryan and Roethlisberger.

Cousins is AVERAGE as a qb who requires talent to be elite Yesterday's nfl didn't require or give QBS the opportunity at elite seasons Heck if anything Jefferson thielen cook n Diggs have MUCH MUCH STRONGER CASES and frankly Diggs is the only hall of famer here Jefferson we'll no in 3 years Thielen if he gets a crazy elite season in Carolina enters the conversation Was Cousins EVER A TOP 5 QB in any year?? NO!!!

@@nautgamingnautgaming9949 Cousins HAS been a top 5 quarterback in multiple seasons and over his 9 years as a starter in total he has only been outperformed by Aaron Rodgers. He has been a top 10 quarterback every year that he has been a starter. Out of all the quarterbacks in history who have played as long as Cousins he is second in completion percentage and is on a pace to set the record for career 4th quarter comebacks. All that while playing behind mostly poor offensive lines and having to carry mostly poor defenses. I don't know what people expect from him his offense carried a 31st ranked defense about as far as anyone ever has this season.

@Bryan Jones Josh Allen Patrick mahomes Brady Rodgers Joe burrow, heck Wilson kaepernick, manning he'll even Joe Flacco n Matt Ryan Case keenum took this EXACT ROSTER 2 rounds further than cousins Cousins is a product of good offenses Where has cousins been in nfc championships Oo wait What about playoffs try 1 n 6 2 n 26 in clutch games
@bryanjones4444 Жыл бұрын
@@nautgamingnautgaming9949 I don't know what the laundry list f quarterbacks was about and your comments about his record in the playoffs and clutch games is wrong especially clutch games WTH was that? Quarterbacks should not be given records, football is the ultimate team game. The quarterback is the most important player but only one of about 75 if you count the coaches. The quarterback is responsible for about 5% of the success or failure of a team. Case Keenum had the league's number 1 defense and they dropped to 9th the next season. Cousins outplayed Case when comparing those 2 seasons. The defense as a whole is responsible for about 31% of the success or failure.

As a Bears fan who is annoyed at anyone who thinks Hester is a HOFer given how much a failure he was as a WR I have to say that Hill already is. He is basically what we all hoped Hester would become.

Cmon now. Wilson is a hall of fame qb. He literally put his team on his back from 2017-21 seasons and made the playoffs 3 out of those years. Did we just forget that his o-line sucked over the years and yes I know his play still generates more sacks but still look at that p line he had and tell me honestly it didn’t suck: even when he had all his pieces he still was playing at a high level. One bad year in Denver with a bad coach and everything around him falling apart shouldn’t change anything. Absolutely ridiculous that anyone would say that he isn’t a hall fame qb.

Super Bowls are a TEAM accomplishment. They shouldn’t hold so much weight when talking about ONE player. Barry Sanders doesn’t have a ring, Emmit Smith has 3, yet plenty of people (me included) choose Sanders over Smith on the all time list.

Who has accomplished more in his short NFL career than everybody on your top 10 list? and of all CHIEFS players you pick Chris Jones over Kelce or Mahomes
