Allen's not overrated, he's just not as good as Mahomes like people want him to be. But people also don't give him enough credit for how good he's really been because of Mahomes' achievements are so grand. Here's a few of Allen's: 1. Tied Dan Marino for most TD's in a QB's first 5 seasons while ALSO... 2. ...being just 7 yards shy of Cam Newton's record for total yards through first 5 seasons (that's insane btw) 3. Only Josh Allen & Drew Brees have had back-to-back seasons with 40 TDs & 5,000 total yards 4. Tied with Mahomes for most TD's in first 7 playoff games 5. For 18 years before Allen, Bills only made the playoffs 1 time. They've made the playoffs 4 times since he's been there, and won at least 1 game in each of the last 3 6. Had the highest share for team's total offense of any player in the league with 85% I mean there's countless more, those are just the ones I remember. Problem is he plays in the AFC & in the Mahomes era. Mahomes putting up 5,000+ yards and 50+ (or nearly 50+) total TDs, while also winning SBs, is going to make him #1. Will he make mistakes? Definitely. 15 INTs (his most ever) & 6 fumbles will show you that. But when your rookie OC demands you do EVERYTHING & you have no O-line, that happens. Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk 😂

I think the Allen take is actually pretty poor. Problem is Allen being compared to Mahomes isn't fair to him, as Mahomes is easily the best QB in the league. He also has the highest % of a team's total offense for any player in the league with 85% share. He's asked to do everything, and ends up forcing the issue sometimes (hence why he's not as good as Mahomes). But he's still historically GREAT. Most TD's of any QB in history through their first 5 seasons? Also only 7 yards short of most total yards (passing & rushing) of a QB through 5 seasons? Only QB along with Brees to have back-to-back seasons of 5,000+ total yards & 40+ TDs? Brought a team that had 1 playoff appearance in 18 years to the playoffs every year but his rookie season? C'mon man. He may not be Mahomes, and the entire team ran out of gas last year, but he's still a great QB.

I'd be very careful about putting Purdy in the overrated category. He's only played 9 games and only started in 5. He was a rookie for crying out loud, the last pick of the draft mind you and he didn't really pass the eye test with scouts. I don't want to hear about how easy Kyle Shanahan's system is, Trey Lance who was the third overall pick couldn't really do a whole lot in this offense and I think Purdy really made the most of being in this system. People make the same argument for Mahomes not being a great quarterback because of the fact that Andy Reid has a way of molding quarterbacks but take into account the Chiefs didn't go to five straight AFC Championships or win two Super Bowls with Alex Smith. As we speak, Brock is somewhere in the lab grinding it out preparing for this season and who knows maybe in the next 5 years, we maybe looking at one of the best quarterbacks in the league. That'll be a story, Mr. Irrelevant going on to become an elite quarterback and probably winning a few rings.

Definitely Justin Herbert and Derek Carr are the most overrated. Justin Herbert’s career record is 29-31. He has excellent players at offensive line, RB, wide receiver, as well superstars on defense like Bosa and Mack. Yet, since he has been in the league, Herbert has the most losses in one score games, in which he has had a chance to win or tie at the end. He has 5 of those this year in 11 games. As far as Derek Carr, you said it all in the video.

I am so glad they brought up Josh Allen. Because i cant stand how people say he is the next best thing. Like dont get me wrong he is a decent/good quarterback. But you go from being a possible bust in your first 2 years to the best of the best with a new head coach/scheme and an arguably top 5 wr. Thats more on them not you, yes he might havr gotten better. But not that much. A consider a top 5 qb someone who can be great on a team like Houston or Chicago.

Alright this video has some mixed feelings ngl, I kinda wanna give my take on this list tho: 1. Yea let’s be real saying Dak is a top qb in the game is really shouting overrated lol, he’s had a really good team since he was a rookie and over this last season we can see what dak really is. He’s a solid good qb but he ain’t elite or top tier, just gonna leave it at that. 2. Derek Carr ngl was a pretty good qb in his early days but has sorta lost a step but at the same time you can’t point the finger at him all the time for the downfall in Vegas. He’s had a mediocre supporting cast, plus a ok coaching staff, I might be giving too many excuses but that’s just what I think about him to be honest. Like now when you see him in the league if I’m being honest he is a little overrated but at the same time the team he had on Vegas also really wasn’t the best either so I kinda think this could go two ways 3. Yea so I’m gonna be honest I’ve really never thought of Kirk Cousins to be overrated, I thinks he’s a solid starter and can get the W you need, obviously he isn’t the greatest in big moments but he still gets the job done, and if anything he seems more overhated than overrated, like last year people wanna say JJ was the reason the Vikings were winning games which is true but at the same time you gotta have a somewhat good competent qb and I honestly think Cousins had a good year, people can disagree with me but I think cousins did good. 4. So yes Goff has had an up and down career, however he did pretty solid for the lions last year to almost make the playoffs and that’s a team that wasn’t expecting big things who also had a bottom defensive as well, Goff deserves some credit for how he did last season. 5. Now, as a giants fan from watching those games, I could tell DJ wasn’t really doing much more than a game manager in the beginning, he was making sure the team got the win, however over time he started winning the games and was showing how he could be a starter, now yea DJ’s stats definitely weren’t eye popping or anything flashy but he got the job done and is progressing slowly but surely and I think Coach Daboll is a good fit for him. As for him being overrated, I don’t think he is in my opinion but then again when your Daniel Jones and you sign a contract where your making 40 mill a year, you can definitely be looked as overrated 🤷🏽‍♂️. 6. Yea so let’s all be real when Russ left Seattle we all just knew they were tanking, I don’t think anyone expected Geno to turn into a qb like this within one season. However Geno’s stats don’t lie, he honestly looked really good, obviously he’s over 30 so he’s not gonna be with Seattle for a long long time but he honestly made a come back and the fact he broke russ’ passing yard record is just incredible too ngl. I also like the new contract Seattle gave him as well it’s not like a hurts or Lamar deal, but at the same time it’s not some cheap one year deal, I think Geno definitely earned himself a contract and I don’t think he’s overrated at all tbh. 7. So Brock Purdy I can see why he gets the label of overrated, first he’s on the 49ers powerhouse team, and he was almost about to take them to a Super Bowl. So honestly this is a good take, he also wasn’t intended to be the starter so the sample size for him is a little smaller however we don’t know if he’s as actually good as he is or if it’s the 49ers friendly qb offense. We just need more time to see, and plus he was also a rookie so he might go through a sophomore slip if he does become SF’s starter next season. He’s a rookie and even if the sophomore slump happens I think he definitely could have a high ceiling since he’s still young. But I do think he is a bit overrated cause of how he did in that powerhouse offense. 8. Alright honestly Lawrence I feel like is progressing and you can’t prove your case that’s he overrated based on one game, yea he threw four picks but not everyone is going to have a great game all the time. T-Law has potential to be great he’s in the process tho so give it some time. 9. So ik people are gonna disagree with me on this but the Herbert I can kinda see because honestly we’re saying he’s a top 5 qb in the game and how he can go on to bigger things, people keep saying that but I don’t really see it tbh, and I’m not saying he’s bad I think he’s one of the most elite and gifted athletes but I need to see it first big things from him first like breaking records is great and all but I need to see him go far to the big game and ik it may seem expecting a lot but again this a guy who’s been called a top 5 qb for a while now. As for tps tho again you cannot say a guy is overrated off of one game, and if anything in the game Herbert didn’t even turn the ball over chargers just couldn’t get into the endzone in the second half and the defense didn’t go hard at the jags enough either. 10. Lastly im going to have to agree with the Josh Allen take here, like ik it’s pretty controversial but over this last year i would say Allen sorta took a little bit of a step back. The bills were Super Bowl favorites this whole year and in the beginning Allen did look good, but toward the middle and end he was struggling a bit, obviously the bills still made the playoffs but even the last game of the season and even the wildcard round Allen was not looking the greatest and honestly the two games the bills played which were New England and Miami should have been easy W’s but ended up being closer than it should of cause of Allen and his turnovers, so I’m not that surprised that the bills lost the divisional round. I can say that I would definitely put Burrow over him and Mahomes is always gonna be top of the qb tier, but I would not say Jalen Hurts is over him, Hurts had only one good season and is now considered a top 5 qb in the game which I don’t even see tbh cause again it’s one good season and on top of that he had the best o-line, top receiving core, great rbs, and a top 5 defense. Oh yea and let’s not forget Philly had one of the easiest schedules. Like in terms of where hurts falls in the qb tier, I would not put him in the same tier as Burrow and Mahomes, personally he should be below them, and I’m not saying he’s a bad qb cause he is progressing but he has the best roster out of all the qbs on this list, and everyone went from last year saying that this a make it or break it year for hurts to he’s a top 5 qb and honestly I’m not buying it. If anything, Jalen Hurts really should’ve been on this list. Maybe it’s the inner giant fan in me coming out but I’m still not convinced that he’s that guy. Maybe in the future I’ll be right or I’ll be proven wrong, who knows, but as of right now I believe Jalen Hurts is the most overrated qb right now. Until I get proven wrong I will keep this word Overall tho, those are my takes on this list some people may agree and other may disagree, hey think what you wanna think but I just wanted to share my opinion 🤷🏽‍♂️
